I think they got huge upside here, but the Redskins have been a 3-4 team. I am not sure that Washington would have been the best fit. For all the folks who have screamed for Tim to be the nose tackle and Bud Foster needs to change the 3-4, this will be a chance for you to see your experiment would have worked.
Looking at the contract slotting, I am guessing Tim is looking at a $2 million 2 year contract. The only amount that will be guaranteed will be the signing bonus. Hopefully he goes in and wrecks some of these sissy guards who were taken ahead of him. If not, that signing bonus should be enough that he can continue to pursue a degree. While he may have gone higher after another year, I think this validates his decision.
