2018 Football Season Tickets

This is my first year donating to the Hokie Club and my first year buying season tickets. The process of buying them was a headache. When it was my turn to select my seats, the website said my donation level was $0, which was obviously a problem. I had to call the ticket office, who then told me to call the Hokie Club, who told me that for some reason I had two accounts in their system. One account had my donation but no tickets purchased, and the other had no donation but two tickets and a parking pass.

So I panicked while someone at the Hokie Club merged the two accounts together and eventually I was able to select the seats in my donation level. It was stressful, but ultimately no harm was done.

Now, when I check my account on HokieTickets.com, I can't find any record of my season tickets. If I go to My Account > My Tickets > Order History, it says "Not Available." Is this standard? If not standard for everyone, is it standard for first-time season ticket purchasers? Or, has something gone wrong with my account again?

Any information would really be appreciated.

The above questions really only apply to my individual situation. On a more open-ended note, when do the tickets usually get shipped?

Will there be an email sent to notify us that our tickets are on the way? Is a tracking number provided?

I think HokieTickets.com could really benefit from a Frequently Asked Questions page.

I think HokieTickets.com could really benefit from just about everything

As someone who is also a first time season ticket buyer, I changed your last sentence based on how I felt about the process. The whole thing took one website order and three phone calls to the ticket office/Hokie club office to sort out.

I found TKP after two rails from TOTS then walking back to my apartment and re-watching the 2012 Sugar Bowl. I woke up the next day with this username.

Completely agree. It makes me less likely to buy tickets in the future if it's going to be this difficult. I should be able to log on and immediately see my exact seat location as well as shipping dates/status.

For as much emphasis as we've put on fundraising over the past few years, you'd think it would be a priority to make it easier to donate/buy tickets. Especially if they want to tap into the recent grads.

Your frustrations are shared by many. You will be able to see your tickets under "My Account" when they are printed and shipped... usually early August. You should have at least gotten a confirmation email after you selected your seats.

Thanks for the info. I did receive the confirmation email. I was afraid I was the only one who couldn't see my tickets under My Account. Thinking maybe they were on my "other" phantom account.

I don't doubt the tickets are coming, but it would be nice to have some communication in the months between seat selection and ticket delivery.
