I'll start with BC about to take their first ACC win against a #11 ranked fsu. Is this good for the acc? /s

All FSU losses are good for the ACC.

Damn if that ain't the truest thing I'll read all day.

I don't know if it's good for the ACC but I think it's good for us. Getting a double bye is huge for the odds of winning an ACC tourney, and while there's still a lot of ACC play left to go you have to figure FSU is one of the teams we'll be competing with for one of those slots.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Yikes this did not age well

just gonna leave this here:

Your 1-4 #11 Florida State Seminoles everyone!

Well, it was nice while it lasted...

So #16 Auburn, #14 Ole Miss, #20 Buffalo, and #14 Texas Tech all lost last night to unranked opponents. Not excusing our losses but winning college basketball games is hard people

Tuning in to the UVA@NC State game to get a preview of this weekend and hopefully see UVA bleed.

#6 goes down! Can't hurt for the good guys.

Welcome back to the top ten, fellas. #11 Kansas lost to unranked Texas already this week, and I don't see any way that MSU doesn't drop a decent bit after the week they've had. Losing to an Indiana squad that was on a 7-game skid should be borderline unforgivable.

I doubt this will hold up but BC is leading Duke at the half (30-28, but still)

Damn sparty loses another one

Sparty also lost a 15 point a night player to a season ending injury before these two losses. Joshua Langford injured his foot and will miss the remainder of the year. He was one of their top perimeter shooters, which has caused them to be imbalanced and has hurt their front court scoring.

Someone tell NC State that they are supposed to play offense and defense in the same game.

With how the rest of our neighbors keep imploding, if we beat Clemson we have a good shot to jump back into the top 10 despite the loss yesterday. Already, #9 MSU dropped their 3rd straight (all to unranked teams), #10 Marquette lost to unranked St John's, and #13 Kansas fell to unranked K State for their 4th loss in 6 games.

honestly, I think we get hammered in the rankings. Voters will start to realize that we are not a top 10 team without Robinson and dock us worse for losses than other teams. Maybe not if we blow out Clemson, but that's a game we're supposed to win handily.

Or the voters realize that we played a close game against a red-hot Louisville squad that's won 7 of their last 8, and possibly 8 of 9 if they beat FSU this weekend, without arguably our most important player.

The problem is that teams 8-15 are so interchangeable, and they keep losing (to worse teams than Louisville) that it's hard to justify a ton of teams jumping us. We might not be a top 10 team without Robinson, but we're still a top 15 team without him because it's hard to name 15 better teams right now.

Clemson is #39 in BPI, #45 in KenPom, and #50 in NET, which are the only 3 rankings that anyone really still cares about. A road game against them is not considered a gimme for anyone except the elite. If we beat Clemson on the road at all, it's far and away a Quadrant 1 win, and should certainly alleviate some concerns as to how this team can perform without 5.

Below is a recent article with seeding scenarios:

https://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2019/03/a-look-at-the-2019-acc-tournament-seeding-scenarios

We are likely a #5 (unless UVa loses AND we lose on Saturday, which would make us #6). #5 gives us a rematch with FSU on Thursday afternoon.

If UVa beats Louisville, they are #1 and we would have the opportunity to face them in the semi-finals if both teams win their preceding tourney games.

If UVa loses, the winner of Duke/UNC gets #1.
