I deployed some new features to the /comments feed.
1. It loads faster. I optimized some of the database queries.
2. Comment vote totals are displayed. This has been a long-requested feature.
3. There's highlighting!

Joe, is it much work to add up/downvote ability from the comments feed?
I actually spent time to disable it. I didn't seem great to facilitate ease of voting up or down a single user, or without context of the thread.
that's fair, thanks. I asked because i saw KingJames's edit about getting his TKPC bottle opener and wanted to upvote but then couldn't from the comments tab
I rely pretty heavily on the comments feed, so I'm really happy to see this; this feature and the unread comments feature have drastically improved my user experience! Thanks Joe!

Maybe it's my browser(using Chrome) but when I click on Unread Comment Replies, I have to go through the whole thread to get to that comment. Is there a way when I click on the thread, it takes me directly to my comment to read the reply underneath?
click on thread and hit the "M" key...
All of the "scroll to" links get boned by gifs loading. It links directly to the right comment, then all the images finish loading and push the page down.
if you turn your monitor to portrait instead of landscape, then the N, M, T, and arrow buttons show.
Its like I'm reading TKP on a gigantic phone

Or you can just un-maximize your browser window and reduce the width until they show up.
Or just hit the "M" key on your keyboard, it's really not that hard. (The same trick works for "N"ew or "T"op comments.)

Or just ctrl-mouseroll a few clicks and it will switch to mobile mode. It's adaptive and he bases which format off of pixel count. Zoom in, mobile, zoom out, desktop.

Did something else change? I can't comment on the bagel thread. Other threads look fine, but there isnt a reply button or comment box on that thread for me.
The thread is locked from new comments, but it doesn't have an explicit lock emoji/greyed out/mention that it is locked until you try to comment. I got a message that it was locked when I tried to respond to someone who responded to me through the comments tab.
I must be missing something, but why is it locked down?
It definitely had the potential to trend into some guideline violating territory, but I don't think it had yet.

I couldn't try to comment and my browser looked liked it never finished rendering, so it was odd. I didnt know that threads got locked out. It just didnt have the button so oh well learn something new.
What is highlighting mean. I haven't figured it out.
