For those gambling local to the DC and Balt. area

for March Madness this week- A few pointers/heads up:
- Delaware Park is a decent sports book. Right off 95 as well, Casino is meh, and sports book is (sort of) 3 levels and in the back- clearly not the ideal set up, BUT they have a ton of TVs. They also have teaser and long parlay cards if that is your thing. Parking is akward but Valet is cheap. No hotel right on sight.
- Dover Downs- hotel on site, a little "cleaner" book in terms of logistics, offers same parlay and teaser cards as Delaware Park. I like the layout and location of the book here better than Delaware park. Parking is fine.
- Charles Town- YOU CAN NOT BET ON GAMES INVOLVING NEW JERSEY TEAMS IN THIS CASINO. - Very annoying if you want to put Seton Hall in a parlay, etc. Why? because they use "William Hill NJ Software" still because they don't have their own, and NJ law prohibits gambling on NJ college teams. Weird and annoying. You CAN bet on WV teams here though. Which makes total sense. LOL. It's a small "book" right off the casino floor- convenient. They do have a bunch of futures plays, etc. and follow the William Hill vegas bet numbers, so you can look up teams/games on your phone if it is not printed. The tellers will never remind you of vegas tellers- that's all I'll say. Also idiot bettors that don't have their shit ready at the window seem to be common here. It's about 45-hour from the Reston/Dulles/Ashburn areas on 2 lane roads. Its an hour and 15 from Columbia, MD. area in normal traffic.
