I know lol. idk whooooo he is though! the man behind the mask! I thought it may have been my homie Curtis Dvorak he was the hokiebird back in 96 and then Jaxson deville from the start of the 96 NFL season until 2015.
I'm assuming your 17 is for the guy who was the hokiebird in 2017. so not the same guy, but I didn't see that until after I posted my comment and then some more comments. all the love for hokie17 too!

Awesome letter. One question though... Why not just StubHub, TickPick, etc if you didn't want to contribute to UVA fund?
I got to believe you can get a ticket from there that cost less than paying for ticket from UVA site and donating on top of that. You can get a 20-ish yard, 2nd level ticket for like $118

It probably depends on how many seats you want and where you can get them. It looks like tickets in the section you referenced have a face value of $80, so if you want the maximum of 6 per account you spend $100 + (6 x $80) = $580. If you got 6 tickets for $118 each from Stubhub, it would run you $708. Also, Stubhub doesn't include their (often exorbitant) fees with the default price display, so it's quite likely that those tickets would cost even more when it's all said and done.
Edit: I should have kept reading, because the letter's author actually confirmed that they bought 6 tickets, and it was $50 cheaper per seat to donate $100 and buy them through UVA than to find equivalent seats on the secondhand market.

I'm sure the author copy/pasted the scores, didn't realize the font difference and it defaulted to the current font (the copied font) for the rest of the email.

I created this letter but didn't have enough turkey legs to post, haha! I felt the need to say something to them and have some fun with it. The only reason I did it through the uva site is because we have 6 people going which spread out the cost of the donation, like 40-50 dollars cheaper per ticket than StubHub.

I am assuming that I am not the only one who can't see whatever this is. I am therefore highly amused that it is getting legs, seeing as it appears to be nothing. Hell, I legged it.

As much as it hurt, getting the tickets through the uva website with the 100 donation was still significantly cheaper than stubhub tickets. Saved like 40-50 bucks (my group wouldn't have paid those prices). uva makes non season ticket holders donate to the athletic fund for the tech game as of this year.

For this year (again, I think the first time they've had the donation rule...for a single game) was 6. The thing to do would be to check the VT tickets website at the beginning of the season to try and snag some away game tickets from our own college. However, I'm sure we only have a limited allotment and it would come down to priority points.

Missed an opportunity to go the PC route to say how distasteful the graphic of cav man killing the hokie bird is in this day of age. Not that I give a shit about a graphic but it would have been funny if they did away with it.

True statement. Walked into a meeting for a Charlottesville project not too long back. The GC was a Hokie, the developer a Hokie, the engineer and architects were Hokies, 4/5 of the competing subs were Hokies. The other a VMI grad. Same team on another project on campus. lolUVA may dislike us, but they need us.
Side note, fuck em.

Excellent work from one of the finest Hokie Birds in VT history!! LOLUVA
Jaxson is that you?
I was referring to my boy HokieBird17

Yea I should have asked how many tickets he was buying first and if they were going to split such donation
Why does it change fonts?

Should've done the whole thing in Comic Sans
And switched to papyrus halfway through

42-10

While 42-10 is great, I'd love his last game to be a shutout. Something like 38-0.
I agree, I hope I'm wrong. How about even 42-0?
Bro*

Bud Foster should never have to pay for his drinks and you, sir, should never have to ask for legs.
Thank you friend, gotta love Hokie Nation!
You should've worked in something about only stepping foot on their campus for VT games. We know their "grounds" are sacred to them.
Haha! "We only show up once every 2 years as to not scare the freshmen... I mean first years?"
Come on everyone...give this guy some legs.
I am assuming that I am not the only one who can't see whatever this is. I am therefore highly amused that it is getting legs, seeing as it appears to be nothing. Hell, I legged it.
We finally know the answer to the question "who wears the turkey legs on this website"
This donation thing is just making us buy larger ticket orders honestly
This is about to go plaid
Nicely done, big C!
Edit: Hey, I've fished with this guy. Shoulda gotten an autograph.
Guess we'll have to go again hahaha!
Get your dad to get the BIG boat going.
Lower case uva, nice touch.
Great letter and all but if you want them to take you seriously you've got to use comic sans as your font.
By the way, I heard they've done away with all of the childish graphical animations before games.
Why did you donate? Am I missing something here?
Cause he likes to party.
I can personally attest to this!
New policy in Lane North for tickets

So now that we have an inside man...can we hit you up for tickets in the future? Is there a cap on how many tickets you can get to the game?
Per their website, the limit is six per person buying and paying the $100 "fine".
For this year (again, I think the first time they've had the donation rule...for a single game) was 6. Hokie Bird for the win!!

HAHAHA! "It's 2019, that graphic is not appropriate"
I think we should sell tickets for the VT-UVA that require a donation equal to the number of years of the streak
They are going to spend that money in construction projects with Hokies.
So we will get it back.

Without us, this is what they come up with.
