C-17 Globemaster flyover scheduled for Saturday

Article here

If you don't know what the C-17 is, it's a plane so big they can use it to transport tanks,

or the equivalent of a college party hosted in a 1 bedroom apartment.

Funny part is when my brother in law was deployed to Syria and back, the army flew him commercially with his unit.

My stepdad was an engineer on the C-141, then the C-5. Finished his career as a loadmaster on the C-17. All of those planes are awesome, and hilariously huge.

My buddy flies them. There's some badass engineering that went into designing those.

Really cool to know, thanks. Will be awesome to see over Lane.

A few years ago, a huge plane mistimed the flyover and had to perform a hard, hard banked turn to circle before coming over the stadium. It was so low and so banked, I couldn't believe it. I saw a couple of versions on You Tube.....one was from Hokies pre-gaming still in their back yard and having this huge plane buzz them. The other version was from the stadium with the same view that I had of the maneuver. Fantastic flying, imo.

You ain't kiddin

Thanks for posting that, I hadn't seen it before. Incredible video.
