Our women are really fun to watch with all the shooters and post play by our centers. Just a fun team to watch. Very excited for Coach Brooks and this team this year to watch them grow as a group.
I was disappointed for Kitley, she missed her sixth straight double double by 1 rebound.
That first half was hard to watch. I thought we were gonna fall apart and loose one. Then it got exciting. We figured out how to play defense, they finally missed some shots, and we started finding the basket from outside to open up Kitley inside. Really wanted to King to get that last three and tie the Cassell record, but happy for the win, especially after watching that first half.
I mean half of Pitts shots in the first half was pretty contested. They just went in anyway๐
I can't find the clip I saw on Twitter, but Cayla King had a hand in her face for most of those makes. She was just on fire and they were feeding her especially down the stretch. Great win.
This team adjusts much better then their male counterparts, especially offensively. Kitley had an "off" game at 15 pts and 9 rebounds but had trouble adjusting especially to the delayed double team. She needs to beable to make the quick first move to not allow defenses to adjust. It was really good to see Sheppard return after going down hard at the end of the first half. Amoore has to avoid the early fouls as she definitely forces defenses to adjust with the ball in her hands.
