ex-USC QB JT Daniels granted immediate eligibility at UGA

Eligible at UGA. Wow. Hard to believe. Interesting. I thought it was pretty hard to get immediate waivers, since VT has ummm never gotten one? Oh well, interesting they also picked up one of the best ACC QB's last year in Newman. Rich get richer

Sounds about right.

Amateur superstar and idiot extraordinaire.

This post will go over well given the state of the site today, best of luck dc...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:

Is there a word or two missing from the title?

It's a fill-in-the-blank.

This is exactly what I thought of.

I even initially read it with the Brokaw voice when I saw "In a complete shocker...."

In a complete shocker, JT Daniels Immediately? or JT Daniels Immediately in a complete shocker?

ESPN. The coverage is excellent, you'd be surprised at how much you can pick up.

Sucks for them there won't be a season

COMPLETE SHOCKER

I know it won't, but I hope that Jamie Newman's current position would set as an example. These "non-premier" teams took the time to evaluate you and gave you a shot to make a name for yourself. You took advantage of it and worked hard and good for you. Now you can stay with that team who you've built trust with, or you can go back to the team who didn't want to invest in you to begin with. Maybe they will give you more exposure. Maybe they will give you money under the table. Maybe their commitment to you isn't as strong as your commitment to them.

What happened to "Top 10 Draft Pick Jamie Newman!"?

Immediate eligibility or not, its not like it changes the date on when the next game he plays will be....

One more reason the NCAA needs consistent rules that apply to everyone equally.

This is total bullshit but I'm not at all shocked. The NCAA should publicly release way more specific guidelines for transfer waivers but I'm sure they're happy to hide behind privacy laws so they can operate on a "case by case" basis.

Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, the Hound, Jeff Jagodzinski, Paul Johnson, Pat Narduzzi.

Though not consistent, the NCAA should announce publicly how they came to their conclusions based on the facts given like the NHL does with their suspension reviews.
