Good, no outside expectations. With that said, I think with the schedule the team can get to 9 wins in conference, which will be somewhere in the 6/7 - 11/12 range

I think the team will be markedly better this season, I also happen to think the ACC will be much better as well. So despite putting a better team on the court, I'm not certain it will translate into more wins this season.
Enjoy the ride. I do think CMY will find success here.

Looking through our roster I see up to 12 players that could factor into the rotation. My guess is that either Maddox or Bamisile will redshirt, since we've got 7 guys that could play either the 2 or 3 positions.
Depth might finally be on our side this year!

Yeah, Landers was bad for the system as the season wore on. There would be good ball movement until Landers would catch and isolate. To be fair, he was doing the same thing earlier in the season but was hitting his shots and no one said anything.

I think this vote is based more in the fact we have 7 new players in our 15 man roster. Essentially its way to early to tell how this team is going to perform. We finally have a modicum of big men to rotate in behind Big John. Not sure of how any of them will play as I havent seen enough of any of them to have a good idea. Likely the same thought process for the voters. Nolley would have been able to play in the 3 spot that he wanted to be in all along but free agency gave him a shot with a top program. Losing Nolley also probably had a big impact on this vote.
Our guards are going to be battling for playing time but I expect Diarra, Bede and Bamisile to likely account for the most time. Not sure how Jalen Cone fits in other then to spell Bede this year. He may be the next transfer out of the program if he doesnt get significant time on the court this season. Maddox from what I have seen will remind people of Isaiah Wilkins.
All in all I think its going to be interesting to see how things shake out this season and next based on the COVID impact to eligibility and all that could entail.

The eligibility issue could be the tipping point though for Cone. If Bede sticks around another season along with Diarra, it doesnt give Cone much of a path to playing time until 2022. That could be a major impact though across all of college basketball. The biggest losers in this are those fringe players in the 21 and 22 classes as they may not warrant scholarships. Prep schools are going to be overflowing the next couple years.

Cone is going to be a factor this season. He has been working his butt off this offseason. I don't think he will start, but he will get more minutes than he did last year.

Maddox could possibly redshirt, but everything I have heard about Bamisile says that he is legit and could be in the starting lineup from day one.
Yeah Bamisile is to good too redshirt. I expect Maddox to redshirt tho
Aren't redshirts useless this year? COVID year doesn't count against eligibility, right?
Yeah but there's not much point to committing to a 12-man rotation either
So maybe somebody like Maddox will just play like 3 mpg?
If we had landers, I wonder where we would be picked? My guess around 6 or 7
I think we'll play better without him

Great analysis, as usual.
Hokies will beat media ACC ratings.
Wouldn't Cone be the lone PG after this season? Unless Bede decides to stick around for one more year since 2021 is a freebie

I can't wait to finally see Aluma on the floor and having some guys to rotate at the 4 and 5
When Syracuse finishes 11th, they get a bid to the dance, so let's go!
