Oh I thought it was going to be $1.5 mil or something. ~$600k is well worth it.

And what in the world is wrong with that?

This was good.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

That is actually pretty ridiculous for a non revenue sport

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:

It's a nit, but I'll pick it. Women's basketball is actually a revenue sport - from hokiesports.com 2019 pricing

Reserved Season Tickets
Public $100
Faculty $90
Youth $40

So, they do generate revenue - However, most folks falsely translate that to 'profit' or 'cover all expenses'.

Popular opinion or not div I sports are a business. Most if not all schools use football and men's basketball monies to pay for all other sports. I am sure there are outliers like uconn women's basketball but for the most part I am guessing little to no profit is made. That being the case I dont believe it is reasonable to spend ridiculous amounts of money of coaching staffs for said sports, but luckily this is America and everyone is entitled to their own opinions

No. I came here to ask the exact same thing, but you beat me to it!

Well deserved, taking over the program where he did and guiding the Lady Hokies to the precipice of an NCAA bid last year and even after losing some top players, has them positioned to continue to do good things by being able to RECRUIT top talent consistently. Can Brooks be the next football coach?
