OT: March Madness War Movie NIT Final Four

Almost at the end, I say, stretched out on a couch overlooking the beach on Hilton Head, enjoying Spring Break for the first time in two years, morning margarita in hand.

As it is the Final Four for the NIT, there are only two matches on tap.

The World War 2 half of the bracket will see #1 Twelve O'Clock High, which edged past Letters from Iwo Jima 12-11 to make it here. They will be playing #3 Inglorious Basterds, who got here by sneaking by Big Red One 12-11.

In Match 2, we have #8 Last of the Mohicans continuing their Cinderella run, knocking off Rambo: First Blood Part 2 13-9. Their opponent will be #4 Behind Enemy Lines, who ended Spartacus' Cinderella run 12-11.

Voting is Open until Thursday morning.

Cheers.

Tough decisions, as evidenced by how close the voting has been. Thanks again for doing this!

"Behind Enemy Lines"??? Really? As a former Navy helo driver, seeing Hueys being depicted as rescue helicopters just gets the total eye roll from me. Don't get me started on all the rest of the military inaccuracies in this flick. Sorry, not a fan.

Yea, we are seeing votes for newer films Hollywoodizing real events over more factual films. Oh well...

Gotta pull for the #8 seed, if only because of the Last of the Meheecans South Park episode.
