Done by Secret Base, the same people who did the History of the Seattle Mariners, which was pretty good. Don't know if anybody is interested in watching this one, but I figure I'd share just in case.
Dorktown presents The History of the Atlanta Falcons, Part One
You grow up a Falcons fan, but as a kid, you don't really grasp just how bad the Falcons have been historically. This series looks really interesting, and the first episode has really highlighted a few early instances of Falcons' futility. But of course, it had to start with the Super Bowl. Oof.
The first seven or so minutes hurts to watch that team get built up when you know an epic fall is coming.
@17:28: Norm Hecker, 4-26, oof
@20:50: Look at that graaaaaaph! (Ouch!)
@22:36: We could have had Walter Payton?!?
@29:35: 1973 Falcons/Cardinals....major oof!
@34:00: Poor Dave Hampton!
@38:40: F the Saints!
Dorktown does a pretty good job capturing the Falcons' futility over the first several years. I'm going to enjoy this series, while crying in my beer.
Oh, and did I mention, F the Saints?
