Recruited out of the Cushing Academy's Class of 2017 in Lowell, Massachusetts, Bede was a terrific defender and finishes his 4-year playing career at VT with 3.9 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game, as well as a ast/TO ratio of 2.72. A terrific leader on and off the court, he is the 8th-highest ranked recruit in VT history, according to the 247 Sports composite.
Thank you for everything you gave us, Bede!

best of luck!
Ride off into the sunset Bede! Hokie Nation will always appreciate you.
Damn. I was hoping he could be the Markus Sailes to Storm Murphy's Zabian Dowdell/Jamon Gordon. Best of luck to him.
That's a bummer. One of my favorites.
The glue guy on several teams that needed a veteran presence. Glad he leaves with a Master's degree and best of luck to him!
I am going to miss him, not a threat to score but man did opposing guards HATE his defense.
Good luck to Bede- he was a hard charger and played with a lot of heart.
Gonna really miss this guy. Bede was all personality all the time and brought a lot more to this program than just the on-court statistics.
best of luck to a class act
Not sure if anyone saw this today but Bede has been hired as a program aide at none other than Texas A&M π good for him but good lord I'm tired of hearing about any Buzz Williams connection at this point
