As it should be, but just got the email confirming that it is officially sold out.
Really need a rocking crowd to add that home field advantage to what is going to be a tough test for the Hokies!
I will be in section 2 yelling, who else is planning to be there?
Let's Go!

HOKIES!!!
What is the capacity for the game, or hasn't that been formally announced?
Pretty sure it is full capacity. I don't think there has been anything announced but nothing saying differently.
Hundo!
I will BE THERE and BE LOUD.
I currently work in cancer research at UNC - needless to say, a lot of people I work with are UNC fans. Several of them are telling me how great they are this year, how they'll be the team to knock Clemson off the top of the ACC this year and make the CFP, etc etc etc.
Let's just say, I hope the team is as fired up as I am to knock UNC off their pedestal and WIN THIS FOOTBALL GAME.
LET"S GOOOOOOO
I was working at UNC in 2016 (the year of the hurricane game). Not much has changed.
Cool to see it technically labelled as a sell out, but there are a lot of tickets showing available on stub hub so it will be interesting to see what this crowd actually looks like
If we get 60k I will be happy. I expect the upper corners of the south and east stands will have a noticeable number of empty seats. Especially at kick off with the new digital only tickets. I expect that to be a disaster this first game.
Unfortunately I am with you on the digital disaster. I had to download the Hokiesports App and then set up a wallet to try and save my tickets.
That said, I will be there and cheering.
can you not take screenshots?
Pretty sure they aren't accepting those.
No way they know. All you are doing is giving them a qr code to scan. I do this exclusively with every ticket I get because I tend to have problems pulling them up as well. However, Google wallet does a good job keeping tickets together as an alternative, an generally works without service IF you had them downloaded previously.
I've definitely used screenshots at other venues where you technically aren't supposed too, but getting them on my Google wallet wasn't difficult this time.
I took screenshots as well to have. Heck I might even print the dang things as a tertiary backup.
They'll always have some empty seats now. Too many move down. It doesn't mean there isn't 65k there.
You're damned right it's SOLD OUT.

My friend and I hope to be there by noon!
LancerHokie and I will be in Lot 18 by 9 or so we hope.
Alright, alright, alright - we'll be in Lot 18 noonish from 757
It will be good seeing you and the wife. It has been WAY too long.
You got that right. Really looking forward to Friday. Our son will be driving from Harrisonburg for the Lot 18 tailgate.
So ready to see our football fam!!! We definitely need a full day of Lot 18. We need to get there early because:
A) that's what you are supposed to do anyway
B) It has been WAYYYYY too long since we were in Lot 18.
Just remember to pace yourselves. You need to be coherent for kickoff ๐คช
Relatively coherent
Sold out doesn't mean full capacity. My family bought 8 tickets, but there's only 7 of us going, so we can spread out a little bit.
It is never capacity by that definition unless scalpers have enough doubled tickets to account for the no shows
The anOSU game ended up with scalpers walking people through the gates, so that one was actually sold out.
Curious as to if, and how, scalpers will be able to work for games moving forward if VT has gone all digital for the tickets? Or is it still possible to have that 3rd-party, in-person market?
Not sure where to ask this, but I've currently got a hotel room booked in Radford for Friday night. What is the probability of getting an Uber from Radford to Bburg before and after the game? I am sure it won't be cheap but more concerned about the availability.
Availability should be good I would think. Drivers from all over the region will come in on game days due to the crowds. After the game will probably be a mess due to the number of people and crappy reception in the area, but if you have a little patience and are willing to walk to a better pick up area, it shouldn't be an issue.
If the good guys win and you stay downtown celebrating until 2 AM then all bets are off, but that will be a good problem to have.
UNC starting WR Beau Corrales out vs VT
So what you're telling me is... UNC's offense may be a little bit easier to.... Corral(es)?
I'll be there in section 33 (I have two kids in day care$$$ so it is what it is )....haven't missed a home game since my senior year in high school (1998) and for good or bad will continue to not miss a home game. Let's get loud!! Let's be proud!!!....and let's spank those assholes in powder blue!!!๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐บ๐ธ...let's go!!!!!
Hokies!
Section 12 with a wife that recently had back surgery. ME: "You should stay home, dear. " Her: Fuck you, I'm going"
I will wave from the Section 14/16 line.
Your wife is a keeper, I assume you know that.
PS: Since my Vietnam vet father passed in 2017, and I miss the old curmudgeon who taught me to love football, thank you for your service to our country.
Your wife is my kind of person! She knows what's important in life.
My freshman son will be in the student section! We had a conversation the other day and he said he hope the rain is gone by Friday. My reply was "But UNC can't play in the rain!" His response "That's true. Bring on the rain!"
He's a good kid

YES HE IS! Trying to get him involved in football recruiting but he still has the itch to play baseball and is trying out for the club team so no chance for the recruiting gig this year!
Yeah, me and my friends have talked about another UNC/hurricane game and how that would bode well for VT, but given how it's been a billion months (it feels like) since we've have a raucous, sold out Lane Stadium, I'll definitely take the nice weather with a packed stadium! Plus, it makes the tailgating a bit easier!
