December 2021 Recruiting Thread Part 2 - Post ESD

**Technically, recruits can still sign Thursday 10/16 and Friday 10/17 in the ESD window, but the title is in response to the flood of comments leading up to and during the Wednesday of ESD that tends to continue the lion's share of signings/recruiting news.

Discuss and share any recruiting topics for December 2021 that don't warrant their own threads. Commits and Decommits warrant their own threads.

This recruiting thread is used to share information regarding VT-specific targets, PWO offers, scholarship offers, visits, camps, and general news, in addition to larger trends. Announcing tomorrow between VT and Vandy

it doesn't seem like that long ago that I was drafting his dad for fantasy football!

1-0 every week

It doesn't seem that long ago that I was in high school with his dad. Let's just say I hope his son is a better person than his dad at his age.

*Nevermind*

I hope so too. All I am saying is I hope Xayvion has better character than his dad. His dad was not a good person during high school and college. Maybe Ahmad grew up after that but he wasn't back then.

As someone also from Bluefield, with nieces still at Graham, this one worries me. Hoping he proves me wrong.

Yeah if this was his dad, it would be a hard HELL NO for me. I just have to try Pry's judgement on this. But I am a bit wary.

We had to have overlapped at Graham. I graduated in '97.

2000

You had to be in the same grade as my cousins. The Nash's and Pugh's.

Yeah, I had one of each in my class. My sister graduated in '01.

Last name Berry.

I had my best friend from high school pull up our freshman yearbook and found your senior pic. I definitely remembered you when I saw your picture. It was driving me nuts at work trying to remember.

Not surprised. Bluefield isn't a big place. My last name is Shrader if you got your old high school senior yearbook around.

'05 Graham grad checking in. My brother graduated with Ahmad and played football and basketball with him, so I got to see (literally) every game he played. He was a spectacular, transcendent athlete. (I'm gonna whisper this next part... Pssst, Zay might be better...)

As far as his life outside the field or court, I trust he's decided to treat others well and taught his kids to do the same. At the end of the day I'm not going to look at the speck of sawdust in his eye and ignore the plank in mine.

All in all, it's massively exciting to have Meadows on board already, and could have Bradshaw. Big time G-Men pride coming out right now.

Who was the last Graham grad to go to VT?

You graduated with HokieEnginerd's sister then...

2 time Longwood grad married to a Hokie.

This is a test for the old memory but think I have a face with the name. I'll pull out the yearbook when I head to Bluefield for Christmas.

Fellow Bluefield guy - cheers!! Didn't know we were so well represented! Although I'm from the REAL Bluefield - Go Beavers!!

Beat WVU

Well...that debate almost rivals pie/cake. My wife graduated from Bluefield so we have this conversation often.

Nothing like the Bluefield/Graham rivalry anywhere I've been. A high school stadium that literally is large enough to seat the whole city... plus a few folks from across the state line!

Beat WVU

WTF is half of TKP people from Bluefield?

I new a few as an undergrad. And my Hokie Step-Uncle was also from there

All the VA recruits to VT. Let's get back to owning the state. Come on home Zay.

Kind of ironic that Ahmad purportedly got released by the Giants due to the play of David Wilson, but his son might be going to attend VT. All that aside, would truly love to see us pick up Bradshaw the son as a receiver or d-back since we need both.

VTCC '86 Delta Co., Peru Hokie, Former Naval Aviator, Former FBISA, Forever married to my VT87 girl. Go VT!

So with Xayvion Bradshaw's announcement coming up shortly...judging from 247's CB's, good news is a comin'

Xayvion pls

I'm here for the memes, I just stay for the football.

I just looked at the article on 247 ranking the top 25 early signed recruits in the ACC and 7 of them were from the state of Virginia. We signed 1 of them this year. I'm optimistic this new staff can start to turn this around in the next couple years.

Thank you
