Noyce, you only played a year for us but you definitely had a beast mode we having been lacking at running back for more than a decade
That is pretty sick branding.
VT could have used him before their last font decision.
What are the three stars for? Not trying to throw shade, geniunely curious
Where's he from? A lot of flags feature stars and it could be related to that.
South Florida originally, not sure where exactly beyond that other than on the Atlantic side of the peninsula
maybe since he was a 3 star coming out of high school?
Somewhat off topic but does anyone have a general understanding of how starting a clothing line like this works? Is it "print on demand" or is there an upfront investment for minimum quantities? I've always wondered how this works, but haven't really ever wrapped my head around it.
I believe most people just design a logo/whatever they want on the clothes and then go through one of those sites that will put them on blanks (different types of shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, hats etc). I believe the hard part is finding a vendor that has decent quality clothes to then put your stuff on. I don't think it is really to complicated.
Typically there is a minimum order if you are sourcing these, this allows for the fixed costs associated with setting up the print to be spread out to make cost per item profitable.
The good part is that there are a ton of small businesses that can support items like these and the minimum orders are not typically significant, especially with a simple logo that doesn't involve multiple colors.
The area of costs you also need to account for are setting up an LLC as well as trademarking the logos. Depending on what marketplaces you are selling you may have to register for a Federal EIN number as well as be able to obtain GTIN number.(UPC Codes)
I've never started a clothing line but i have been involved in merch sales a bit before. You described two ways to do it, but the second is way more common. You invest upfront in a set amount, get your items manufactured and in inventory, and then ship as purchased. Typically you get a lower upfront cost per unit on higher volume, but then need to sell more items to break even on your outlay.
The other method is also used but less frequent and doesn't really work in an "on-demand" sense. In that case, the money is collected from the consumer upfront as a "pre-order" and then the pre-order window closes at a set time. Then, the inventory is generated and distributed because there's a precise amount of known demand (and typically the store will make 5-10% excess items for "those who missed out on the pre-order"). The upside is that you don't get stuck with merch you can't move, the downside is the delay between when the pre-order is placed and when the item is received by the consumer.
Thanks all. Appreciate the info.
I want that orange juice hoodie👀
Man, I would love if he had a maroon JUICE t-shirt
I emailed his rep asking if they are going to make baseball hats or would be interested in having some made. Offered to supply if they aren't already lined up. Imagining an orange and maroon juice hat(s)
