Good to have the seniors and staff go out with a bang. It was apparent that the pressure is off everyone's shoulders so they just went out and had fun. Interesting that what will likely be Fu's last game in Lane was retribution for the 2019 Duke beat down, which was the beginning of the end of the Fu era in many ways. Glad for a great senior day.

Skipper, however, is based on a Civil War-era design and is full-size.
Also, VMI was gifted their original cannon by the Virginia government. The Cadets of the VTCC conceived, funded, and delivered Skipper all on their own. The Commandant of the Corps had no idea that it was happening.
Thus those eternal words: "VMI sucks".

I've been told that the team was told Thurs or Fri that Fu was gone at the end of the year. But I would have expected it to leak out by now. Regardless of how we feel on this board and as fans, a lot of the team actually likes Fu and have felt like they let him down the last few weeks and cost him his job. Things are never as bad as they seem, and never as good as they seem.

I feel like if the players were told, it would leak out. At least over the next couple of days. There's just too many people involved for it to not get posted somewhere on social media either via them or those with parents/guardians that are very active on social media about their kid's football activities.

I thought it felt like the coaches walked with the seniors tonight. They coached it up to win their last home game. Unfortunately they could not coach aggressive until they had nothing to lose. I think we have a chance to look good from here on out, ironically because I believe it is too late to matter

Don't know if it was said anywhere else, in the pregame lineup intros, they did not announce Fuente. Probably the first time that has ever happened. Assuming it was to prevent the boos. At the end of the day, we won a game FAM.

What I've seen from Tyler Van Dyke makes me nervous we can keep up with Miami, but it's definitely not out of the question to win. With UVA I have the hope that their run D being atrocious could be enough for us to score a good bit on them. If there's one thing we can do on offense this year, it's running the ball between a hopefully healthy BB and Blackshear, Malachi, and now King it seems has re-entered the fold.

Fuente going 8-5 is like worrying about a meteor hitting your car. It could technically happen but I wouldn't worry about it.

It doesn't LOOK like we won but scoreboard don't lie. Big senior day win. But damn 12 penalties for 106 gotta clean that up.
Keep in mind they got 4 first downs on (bs) penalties in the 3rd/4th so that number gets thrown off quite a bit.
Feel like the refs should have a color on that chart...like brown...showing they got the majority of the minutes.
On the other hand this is how to get stuff done:

Their first TD drive was 20 yards them, and the rest of the field by penalties. They "drove" 80 yards without a single first down except by penalty.
