That was the only bit of the game I was able to listen to. One bad inning was all it took today. Glad to see that it didn't get worse, but that was a tough inning. From what it sounded like on the broadcast it seemed any one of those two out ABs could have easily been out #3 and the damage would have been minimal or not even happened.

having a Top 5 baseball and softball team at the same time is one hell of an accomplishment for Whit. There's a really good chance we'll be hosting regionals for both baseball and softball at the same time this year, and potentially even super-regionals as well.

That's correct. We are up 10.5 to 7.5 with three events remaining:
Baseball
Men's outdoor track and field
Women's outdoor track and field
Winning the baseball series locks it all up (though with the T&F year we've been having, we could easily skunk them 13.5-7.5)

I may do a post on this later, but the breakdown is (as always) ridiculously skewed in LOLUVa's favor in spring sports:
Fall: 4-1
Winter: 5.5-1.5
Spring: 1-5 (and counting)
Total: 10.5-7.5
Worst case: tie at 10.5 (I'll look into the championship tie breakers later)
Best case: 13.5-7.5
Again, the Hokies can lock it up on the diamond this afternoon.
