Oh man those ND and WVU games were so frustrating. Though if I'm remembering correctly out of the 4 times we have played them since they have been "in the ACC" there was one game where they legit beat us where I thought they should have. What are we 1-3 against them? Should be 3-1 in that span.

Both the 2019 and 2021 games were the definition of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
I actually still don't even understand how we lost last year. Pretty sure we had a 10 point lead at home with under 3 minutes left and lost in regulation.

Not to be that guy, but we had an 8 point lead. We blew a 9 point lead at home in a similar timeframe against Syracuse just a few weeks later. I know because my buddy made a "oh no, here we go again" joke to me right after we went up by 9 in the Syracuse game. I reassured him that we couldn't possibly blow a two score lead as fast as we blew an 8 point lead. How foolish of me.

Nobody will agree with me but I hated the going for 2 in the 3rd quarter after the pick 6. Similar to 99 title game, you should keep taking the points until the 4th quarter.
Before anyone tells me the obvious about being up 2 doesn't do you any good vs 1, that simple football coach logic only takes the next score into account vs. thinking about multiple scores in the future. If there is more than one quarter left in the game the coach needs to think multiple moves into the future versus only the next one.

At first, I thought this was made by VT Athletics (I thought it was the 'week 0 production' created by VT). So when I head the CBS theme music in the beginning I was like 'holy shit are they foreshadowing something?!?!' But then reality set in.

Yeah this is a stark reminder that we will have to replace the production of Robinson and Turner at WR. I mean, I knew that, but this really shows you those guys could ball. And a reminder that, while limited in ability, Burmeister was a gamer.

Robinson and Turner were definitely skilled players, but their production was limited due to pedestrian play-calling. This is kind of a good thing now, because in terms of actual receptions/yards/TDs it won't actually be too hard to replace them. Sounds crazy I know, but if we can get like 3 dudes to get around 400 yards each this season it will cover their production.
Agreed though, on to the Pry era! Can't wait.
