And if he was shorter, he'd be a 2 star. I'm not sure I get the point. Hasn't VT had a number of shorter 3* QBs lately who would be 4* if they were taller?

Not trying to be snarky, but genuinely interested in who you mean. From what I can remember:

  • Wells - No
  • Burmeister - 4 star
  • Hooker - 4 star
  • Willis - No (6'4")
  • QP - 4 star
  • Jackson - Maybe but seems like a stretch

So Matt Rhule tries to steal and flip Lovette and instead Lovette ends up recruiting away a QB of his.

(I know Watson committed before hiring of Rhule, but Rhule was recruiting him to stay and did an in-home visit not too long ago.)

I think if a recruit has an official nickname they should get a 1 star bonus added to their ranking. Doesn't matter what the nickname is, just that it is official and recognized. Welcome home kid, here's to hoping you pop the top off many games in the future.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.
