Went to the match. Here's some Notes. Flynn the backup 125 won 13-3 Latona won 6-4. Crook and Henson both loss to higher ranked opponents. Ulrey picked up a surprising win at 157. Probably was the match that won us the Dual. Brady gave the number 1 165 wrestler hell and only loss 9-4 Mekhi Lewis did his thing and won. Bolen is looking like his old self and won 13-3. Smith loss 7-0 to the number 1 197 wrestler and Catka with another disappointing loss

I also made it in person. Great to see a home victory. Brady looked really good, I think it was a tactical error to have him take bottom. Maybe it was the escape after the reversal that baited the coaches but I think you take neutral and go for another takedown to win the match. I remember O'Toole rode Quincy Monday hard during the NWCA All-Star Classic. Bolen looked great again, he's just got to keep it up going in to ACCs. Catka was a big dog so I'm disappointed he didn't try to be more offensive, that's what he has to work on.

I agree. What do you think about Flynn over Eddie V. I know Eddie is 5-0 over him but Flynn gets more wins against rank opponents and he scores more points. I think he would have finsh top 5 in vegas at 125

Eddie Ventresca has earned the spot for now. To beat a guy 5 times without losing is really hard. I like Flynn a lot and glad to see him get a match. If Ventresca has some bad efforts then I would entertain entering Flynn at ACCs. Similar to how NC State handled Trumble getting pinned by Duke his freshman year and Renan went to ACCs.

I am really glad to see the tough early season schedule for the wrestling team, hopefully this sharpens them up for conference and NCAAs. Yes, I have adjusted my expectations to NCAAs, best team Tech has at the moment.

It was my first match and I was pumped to see Andonian....totally bummed me out. He's my favorite wrestler on a talented team. So fun to watch him, his aggressive is impressive.

This was a solid win for us. we stayed in it and grinded some good wins...lets go and we got FAM from Basketball and wrestling and 3 Football commits

17-15 with the difference being major decisions by Cooper Flynn and Hunter Bolen. Bryce Andonian did not wrestle.

Anyone know why he hasn't been on the mat? Is he still recovering from some injury?
I'm pretty sure in that scrimmage match against his teammate that he either broke something in his foot or some Toes
