All ACC Football Performance 2018-2021

Dunno if this is worthy of a whole new post, but I've been meaning to do this for a while.

In 2018, VT had:

What's the point of this? I thought I would see how it compared with our recruiting rankings - overall aggregate, not by individual player - for the years previous to these. I wasn't sure how far back to go, but here's what I decided to do. Two of the players on the All ACC list for 2018 were Seniors (Walker and Chung), so I thought I would go back to their recruiting class.

Walker was in the 2014 Recruiting Class, which had a score of 208.6 and ranked 28th. Chung was in the 2013 Recruiting class which had a score of 203.38 and ranked 21st.

The 2015 Recruiting class had Settle and Njiman, but they didn't show on the All ACC lists starting in 2018 (left school early). It had a score of 207,7 and was ranked 29th (NOTE: some of these numbers don't match for some reason. On the 2015 ranking page, our score is 212.07, but close enough for this post)

The 2016 Recruiting class had Deablo, Hewitt, and Johnson, so three All ACC. It also had a couple of others that left school before we get to the 2018 All ACC Team, including Jerod Evans. It scored 190.06 and was ranked 42nd.

The 2017 Recruiting class had Ashby, Bradburn, Lecitus Smith, Keene, Darrisaw, and Farley, and was scored 217.74 and ranked 26th. Oh, it also had some dude named Hendon Hooker, whoever that is. Cool name, though.

The 2018 Recruiting class had Peoples, Waller, Darrisaw (again for some reason, I assume he prepped, I can't recall now), Tenuta, Conner, Turner, and Hollifield. It was scored 226.01 and ranked 24th. It also had some dude, James Mitchell? Did he play for us?

Seriously, WTF Mitchell never made All ACC? Did I just miss it? Let me know so I can edit if so.

The 2019 Recruiting class had Robinson, Barno, Hoffman. It was scored 224.01 and ranked 26th.

The 2020 Recruiting class had Moore and Herbert. It was scored 162.89 and ranked 76th.

For completeness, the 2021 Recruiting class had Jordan Williams. It was scored 195.79 and ranked 44th.

And I think that covers all of the VT All ACC performers from 2018 to 2021. So what do you make of it?
