Lol yep. We were really spoiled those 4 years that we had Oscar Shadley. I honestly can't remember hearing his name a single time (tbh had to hit up HokieSports just to make sure I remembered his name correctly!)
Crazy how it turns out guys who are All-American longsnappers in high school turn out to be good longsnappers in college!
tbh the only times i remember hearing shadley's name was when he was also the first guy downfield to make the tackle on punt coverage
Yeah I thought about that after I made my post. He seemed to be freakishly good at that.
In some punt formations, long snapper has no blocking assignment, it's just snap and release. The gunners will have 1-2 blockers on them and the long snapper gets forgotten.
I don't think you can hit the long snapper on CFB.

I don't remember where I saw it but a guy had 4 sons and he trained all of them to be long snappers. They all received scollys. Nice!
