as always when this stuff pops up, very worried about where VT eventually ends up.
USC and UCLA are in negotiations to join the Big Ten conference, a source tells @SINow, confirming @wilnerhotline's report.A stunning but not all that surprising move: Teams are jockeying to get into the top two leagues of FBS - the SEC and B1G.β Ross Dellenger (@RossDellenger) June 30, 2022

So...we Big 10 or SEC?
I vote Big 10
Their football identity feels more blue collar and I think VT would fit in well with that.
I also don't like how UVA dresses up for games and that's how the majority of the SEC feels to me.
Plus, I feel like we could hold our own in the Big 10. In the SEC I think we become bottom feeders.
Hate to break it to you, but we're probably bottom feeders in the ACC right now, at least for this year.
I honestly don't care SEC or Big Ten as long as we get a lifeline out of the ACC. Preferably sooner rather than later.
We keep floundering in the ACC, we'll definitely be behind the curve for $$$$ from the conference and zero chance we get paid from Nike for being a mid-tier team in a bottom conference. The money goes up exponentially if we move to a big-boy conference versus the tried and true.
I am of the belief that once all of Fu's recruits are out and Pry has had proper time, we will be competitive. I'm looking past this upcoming forfeit of a season and looking long term.
living in south carolina, i prefer the SEC, just so i can go to more games.
competitively, both will be very difficult
When asked to choose between the North and the South where have Virginians historically gone?
SEC for sure
I mean, I think the Commonwealth literally split in two that time.

West Virginia to the Big 10 confirmed
I don't really care whether its B1G or SEC but due to the AAU requirement for the B1G I think that's likely not in the cards for us. So, SEC it is, probably. If we're lucky. There's a chance VT gets left behind.
AAU requirement? Nebraaka?
Nebraska was when they joined the B1G
Maryland currently is laughing at everyone who thought the move was a bad one
Fuck Maryland. But probably yeah
Making $50mil to finish 17th in the conference in football is funny. Not funny haha but funny strange.
Looks like ND is probably next to the B1G
Oh, and per Dinich they aren't bound to Grant of Rights for football, only basketball and Olympic sport, which... Lol is absolutely nothing
