Well, this is a low point.
Came here to say this. Leg for you.

Your move, hokie07ME.
So I feel like we need a DB from the portal as well right? What are our priorities right now? OL, DL, DB - in that order?
Ouch, he had a lot of fanfare and promise. Not sure it ever really showed up on the field but glad he got his degree.
Need some DBU-quality players soon.
Holy crap, grad transfer with 3 years left?
Super easy to do between early enrolling in the spring, redshirting, summer classes, and now the covid "no-count" year!
I wouldn't SUPER easy, because it's still impressive, but it's not outrageous because of the covid year.
I have no idea how he has 3 years of eligibility remaining He's been on the team for 4 years already (2018-RS, 2019, 2020, 2021). Normally he would have 1 more season of playing eligibility, but with the COVID bonus season he should have 2.
Pretty sure he was injured one season.
according to TSL's post about it, he played 10 games in 2019, 7 games in 2020 and 7 in 2021. All of those exceed the requirement for a medical redshirt
Yes but now you get 4 free games before you lose youre redshirt so 7-4 is 3 which is below the medical redshirt level!
MATH!!!

Or maybe I'm thinking of Nasir Peoples? Dunno.
I'll never get these guys transferring who are in line to play a role in the future of the team. Wasn't he on the two-deep roster? Something not sit right with the school or staff, or just looking for a better opportunity to win now and/or play more? I mean, move somewhere else and you're basically starting over.
Pry said after spring ball there were going to be difficult conversations with guys. I'm guessing this was one of them
Yeah, it's either his place on the team wasn't where he expected/wanted it to be OR maybe he just doesn't get along with the new staff. Or a host of other, more personal, reasons. I think we've been relatively insulated from the typical droves of players that leave when a new coach gets hired so we just kind of have to expect a few of these to happen even if they aren't "buried" on the depth chart
Maybe he got offered $3m in NIL to move to somewhere sunny and 72 all year round
I'd like to say it would take a lot more than that to make me move to that hell hole, but I'd be lying. ππ
I don't think he was in the 2 deep. Best of luck to him wherever he lands.
Agreed, he may have been last year but rn (with 4 db positions rather than 5) it looks like:
CB: Strong, Harvey
CB: Chatman, Murray
FS: Connor, Stroman
BS: Peoples, Hawkins
With Johnson and Howard supposedly looking good as well.
Plus he was part of senior day as a r-soph last year. Seemed like he was already planning to leave, so could be other factors.
