Welcome Home! Hokie Nation is excited to have you!

Love it

He looks quick; but most importantly, he got the school's name right!

Even when you get skunked; fishing never lets you down. 🎣

Love this! Really like how he said "for the next 4 years" too. Let's get some degrees!

Welcome to Tech, Mr. Lovett

Looks like a CB in all his highlights, what's with the ATH designation? Welcome HOME kid, enjoy busting up some Cavaliers.

I am not sure what to do with my hands now

You Lovette to see it!

Ivins, who has seen Lovett in-person multiple times, is reminded of the old Virginia Tech defensive backs that continually found their way from Blacksburg to the National Football League.

"This kind of reminds me of a throwback to what Virginia Tech used to roster with their defensive backs," Ivins said. "They used to put guys in the NFL all the time," Ivins said.

I might be getting old but do we really refer to 2021 draft as old? We sent two DBs then, and another 2 two years before that.

I think the point was the "continuous" in the "of old" reference. Even the recent guys seem better at breaking up passes that in getting interceptions. I don't remember how many years ago it was, but seemed like we had guys who got a bunch of INTs. And our backs, in general, used to tackle better. So even though we have sent some guys to the league, I think it's been more like 1 or 2 guys in the backfield have been good and the rest have been serviceable, but nothing special, especially when you throw in the unexceptional tackling.
