Ended up dead even on rebounds... 8 - 8 offensive, 26 - 26 defensive, 34 - 34 total
Only 3 of 19, 15.8% from three
Less than 70% from free throw line (66.7)
The difference was probably turnovers. We only had 9 (less than ten), they had 14.
The 9 - 6 in steals and the 4 - 0 in blocks certainly helped too.

I think I'll be convinced when we play against a competent big man! I'm not sure if Poteat and Kidd are up to the task of guarding ACC bigs yet, and that could make for a long season.

I unfortunately do not see them staying quad 1. Too much talent at the top of Big 10 this year. I think season end they will be 75 to 90. They just don't have the size to be consistent there.

Sheesh how did it get so close? I watched the first half and we could've been up 30 at the half. Failed to capitalize on offense when Penn State couldn't make anything in the first half, but we were still clearly the much better team

You missed the 15 to 6 minute mark of second half more formally known as "the Royal Rumble" Where we had success in first half inside, that all evaporated for most of second while PSU did impressions of the Undertaker and Sting down low with no whistles.

The first 4 games of the season we had 1 player step up as a clear cut game MVP. This game was more of team effort and much better on the boards. Got ugly towards the end but we withstood the punches. I LOVE CMY, FAM

Even in our best years, that's a game we always seem to lose. Love the resilience from this bunch.
Majorly underrated player on this team. What he does off the ball and his defense has been the reason for most of our wins.

When they got within a score on that deep 3 I braced for that heartbreak loss. It didn't happen. Getting overly hyped for the team. FAM.
To be honest, I think the big difference was total points scored (61-59). That went a long way in determining the outcome of the game.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but this is a good win for the team.
This is the kind of game you look back on in March and say "That [win/loss] is why we [made/didn't make] the NCAA Tournament."

It was so awesome to just watch us drop the ball down to low post and just push the guys around. Nice to have 4 big guys all with soft touches.
