Pick 6 2022 - Week Thirducken

If you haven't started thawing your turkey yet, you should get on that.

This week brings us a slate of rivalry games and since it won't include the usual Hoo/Hokie tussle, maybe give that special Hoo in your life a good-spirited noogie immediately followed with a glass of fine spirits. Cuz they're little brothers, which means they're family after all.

Apologies for last week's post and this week's rambling - my grandfather passed away on the 10th and while it wasn't necessarily unexpected, it was sudden and his absence shall be felt for a long time. One of his many legacies is the family involvement in woodworking, so I've been spending my free time carving the horses that will be mounted on either end of his urn which my uncles, dad, and some of grandpa's friends are taking part in making for him. It's been a good way to be busy and still think about the impact he had on my life.

Now, onto the Games:

NC State at 18 UNCheat (unc -6.5)
Coach Mack has to have his Thanksgiving mac & cheese pureed so he can swallow it.

South Carolina at 7 Clemson (Clemson -14.5)
I feel like Thanksgiving at a Clemson house has what would be good food, but they've tried every clickbait article "twist" and Pinterest "hack" on every dish so nothing's recognizable and the meal is essentially inedible now. You sneak out to grab some takeout after the meal

3 Michigan at 2 Ohio State (anOSU -7.5)
Desmond and Kirk should have a slapfight over the wishbone to see whose team is going to disappoint its fanbase the worst: the one who loses this game or the one that gets blown out in the first round of the playoffs

10 Oregon at 22 Oregon St (Ore -3.5)
Like the cousin you only get to see at holiday gatherings but you can always count on to partake in kids' table shenanigans

13 Notre Dame at 5 USC (is -5.5)
This kids' table consists of anyone that isn't old enough to draw their Social Security yet

Florida at 16 F$U (fsu -9.5)
Friendsgiving when none of your friends are good at cooking and can't afford (or totally forgot) to order premade food from the grocery store. It's the company that's important anyway so it's still a good time.

Why would I thaw a turkey that isn't frozen?

Sorry for your loss.

Gimme ALL the dogs.

Doing better and better.

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

3 Michigan at 2 Ohio State (anOSU -7.5) - I think OSU wins but it'll be close
NC State at 18 UNCheat (unc -6.5) - UNC has no defense. NC State has no Leary. UNC's offense will score enough to win by a TD
South Carolina at 7 Clemson (Clemson -14.5) - LOL. I don't think Clemson blows SCAR out by 3 scores
10 Oregon at 22 Oregon St (Ore -3.5) - I think Oregon tries to make a statement
13 Notre Dame at 5 USC (usc -5.5) - I like this version of ND much more than the BKAKK version. But they're still overrated IMO (half of their 8 wins coming against ACC teams). USC is good. I think they win by a TD. At least.
Florida at 16 F$U (fsu -9.5) - this is a tough one. Both teams are kind of all over the place. I think, being a rivalry, this is going to be closer than 10 points.

Onward and upward

I hope you're wrong because following your picks won't do me any good with only two weeks left!

ditto :p

Onward and upward

Welp. I'm off to a bad start. 🤷‍♂️

Onward and upward

Me too. 🤮🤢

Pain is Temporary, Chicks Dig Scars
Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

3 Michigan at 2 Ohio State (anOSU -7.5)
I'm not gonna look it up but I don't think the favored team covers much historically here
NC State at 18 UNCheat (unc -6.5)
No Leary no bets
South Carolina at 7 Clemson (Clemson -14.5)
Let down game. USCe scored all their points last week
10 Oregon at 22 Oregon St (Ore -3.5)
Beavers haven't let me down this season
13 Notre Dame at 5 USC (usc -5.5)
USC
Florida at 16 F$U (fsu -9.5)
Toss up. FSU has it together they cover easy. Not sure if they have it together though.

Hey Oregon- you fucking suck! Thanks for blowing a 4 touchdown lead.

So with Oregon going down, does this bump Washington into the PAC 12 championship game? Seems like a logjam there for second place.
