The Ladies host Longwood at Cassell today at 2 PM. This is an ACCNx game. Longwood is 1-4 with their lone win a 1 point squeaker over Ohio U. They got blown out by Louisville 100-37 in their most recent outing.
Longwood is a mature team. They start a senior, redshirt junior and 3 juniors.
For comparison below is the Hokies roster.

For comparison, Hokies stats:
Sorry Lancer Hokie, this does not look like a competitive game. Only questions should be how early Kitley gets her double-double and will we score 100 points. It's also possible some one else may get a double-double; we have six players averaging double digit scoring(if you count 9.8 for Soule) and two of them average nearly 5 rebounds per game.
This will be a game for Coach Brooks to mix and match rosters and maybe play some younger players for extended minutes.
GO HOKIES!

Let's Go!
HOKIES!
Glad to see the team doing so well again this year. Go Hokies!
20-4 at the end of the first.
Up 28-7 but Hokies half court offense could be better. Lot of wide open looks badly missed. Kitley covering it up with a double double in first half already.
Not playing well, but not having to. 41-10 at the half....
Prior to a late 3, three different Hokies had more points than Longwood.
Hope Brooks empty's bench for last 10 minutes
62-21 at end of the third. Bench should play all of the 4th I hope.
Loving the running interview with Sheppard. Need to send a link to that to every player we want to recruit. Such a great person to be a great ambassador for the program.
89-28 final! FAM!
89-28 Final. Traylor with a double double off the bench.
There was a point in the fourth quarter where both kitley and owusu had as many points as Longwood each
And from the looks of things it wasn't... The Lady Lancers went dancing last year, this year doesn't look so hot right now....
But it's all good. Go Hokies!
All through the game they cited that it's a new coach and all new roster so sounds like a much different team from last year
That makes sense.
I will say this for Longwood they played a scrappy in your face defense and never gave up. That said they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a grenade. I don't think I have ever seen so many air balls since the last time I played rec league basketball.
