Little late this week, playing Mr Mom and missed my YouTube notification.
As always my takeaways:
- Tisdale is back, Pry shys away from saying it'll be an impact return, but is excited for him and happy he kept working this season.
- Feels good about Smith, not about Gosnell in terms of playing this week.
- As discussed in other threads, Glenn is now in the booth with Bowen.
- Looks like Marve is taking the play calling reins away in the off-season.
- Keeping the beard trimmed and not to its full potential, unfortunately.

The trimmed beard is still a beard.
And according to my wife, a little sexier. :)
Got me excited to see a better defense this weekend.
Who was in the booth prior? Why wouldn't the passing game coordinator be there to see the coverages and such?
Just Bowen, Glenn was probably on the sideline to talk with his QB's after possessions
Get a fuckin landline or a walkie talkie!
They have phones... It seemed like a good idea so he could work with the QB for more time on the sidelines but I think some of the better value will be from him and Bowen working together upstairs more. Glenn has quotes saying he will write down ideas so Bowen can see them without having to distract him on the headset with him in the booth too.
You mean like a note, "either run the ball outside or throw it to Smith?"
I have no idea if Pry will be highly successful here, but I keep saying it - he is laying one hell of a foundation for either him and his staff or for another head coach to build on. He is assessing things accurately. He isn't sugar coating, but he also isn't negative. He is making adjustments. The dude is exactly what we need in this program right now. We all need to get behind him, continue to show up, donate and support him and the kids who have chosen to make VT home. Together we can at least right the ship even if it doesn't net a playoff appearance in the next 5-10 years.
Unleash the Beard, unleash the team.
It's simple science.
"It's things we're able to fix - we showed the kids - here's us doing it correctly, and look at the results, and here's us not doing it the way we need to, and look at the results"....
Brent Pry
This gives me hope.
It does. We have a lot of youth playing and guys with different roles. 10 guys do their job but 1 guy is a step slow to get to his responsibility and bam, TD. Reps and experience will help. We know his scheme is effective though.
I thought this tidbit was interesting from Pry on TTL this week.
The lunch pail has been on the shelf the last 2 weeks. Not too shocking but good to hear it's being treated like it means something.
That IS interesting.
Glad to hear they're taking it seriously, and it is an honor to be awarded it.
