Week 9 Other Games Thread

Since nobody else started one, here I go.

This Ohio State-Penn State game is quite entertaining. Also, there was a discussion about preparing for offensive formations, and I see Penn State has been using the old-school T-formation every now and then today.

WVU TCU has been great fun

I dont understand why ND ever throws against Cuse.

UVA and Miami are tied up at 2 FG apiece going into overtime on ESPN3.

Who called that sentence this preseason?

ACC! ACC! ACC!

4 OTs and a combined 26 points

I think that means we still have a chance to beat uva...so there's that

I'm still figuring this out.

There's always a chance, whether we're good or a complete abortion on the gridiron. Never change, Boo Hoos, never change!

Why can't we have an offense like the Suckeyes?

Can't afford 5/high 4* talent like they can.

My goal is to change that.

Before the season Ryan Day "estimated" it would take $13 million just to keep their roster together.

By comparison the entire payroll of the professional Orioles baseball team is ~$19mil. Cleveland is at $22mil.

We will have an offense like OSU when we have a comparible amount of bribe money, I mean well-deserved and earned NIL money to pay 18-20 year olds who may or may not ever play a meaningful role on the team.

We're playing the same sport but we are about as far separated from OSU, Bama, Georgia, ect. as G5 teams are from P5.

In this incredibly lousy season, at least Penn State lost today.

I'm just hoping VT or Iowa State can win at least 1more game this year between the two of them.

Wow BC is now " lost to UConn" bad.

UConn has more wins than Texas aTm tho

Gotta love cfb

I'm still figuring this out.

Yeah OSU PSU was a good game. PSU kept it closer for longer than I expected.

Yeah final score does not represent what it felt like most of the game.

Due mostly to a defensive player going HAM

I'm still figuring this out.

So according to his stats....

Tuimoloau recovered two fumbles and might have caused one of them too.
Tuimoloau had 6 tackles, 2 of which were sacks and 3 of which were tackles for loss
Tuimoloau had 2 interceptions with 16 total return yards, and scored a touchdown.

This is legit one of the best defensive stat lines I've ever seen.

Other than that 5* player it was a very close game...

I'm still figuring this out.

USCe oline is playing like ours

This Tenn/UK game has so many "what could have been" vibes with all the Hokie transfers and decommits. It is the "Fucking Fuente..." Bowl.

Man if I had a nickel for every time an ACC team committed 8 turnovers I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but odd it happened two weeks in a row.

Last minute tickets for 2 oldest and father in law to UF UGA was awesome game to see. But good lord those players look so much different than ours.

Back while I was a student at UGA and getting familiar with the football team, it was not lost on me that their starting LBs were mostly bigger than our starting DEs.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

Just hear me out, Navy's win today means that teams are 6-0 the past 2 seasons, and 20-5 since 2000 when not attempting a pass. Maybe we should try that. /s

If both Thomas & King are out.... no thank you haha. Not sure I wanna see Holston have 35 carries for 47 yards.

It's going to be fun to watch A&M fans go ballistic after this game.

Watching UNC - Pitt, and hating that one has to win, but kind of jazzed that one's gonna lose.

that game got out of hand fast

How did Mel Tucker get the 3rd highest guaranteed buyout?

That man owes millions to Kenneth Walker

he took a job no one else wanted.

Well, at least the Boo Hoos lost. Again.

So more fighting in the Michigan tunnel post game. Curious if this will escalate the whole deal even further
