Even Miami players know playing in Miami sucks

This kind of stuff right here should be saved on all of our coaches phones and replayed for any recruit we go to visit. Even Hurricanes players know that their home atmosphere sucks. Enjoy your time in school some more and go play for a school that actually supports their teams and makes playing in your home stadium fun.

Holy cow. Did their social media group put this out there? For... reasons??

Yikes lol. They could have at least tried to spin it as "I just cherish performing in a hostile environment and shutting up opposing fans".

That's the last 10 seconds of the clip.

I hope we get loud for Miami. I hope they never want to come visit Lane after October.

More like last .5 seconds, but yeah good point.

Maybe the home atmosphere sucks, but I'd still have difficulty turning down a chance to live in the 305.

Been there enough times where I wouldn't lose sleep if I didn't visit again.... yes yes yes, I know, the women, night scene, beaches, etc. but its wayyyyy too hot/muggy and expensive... no thanks lol

Bleeding burnt orange and chicago maroon

Not sure many/any 18yo kids will take your advice on that one.

yea I didn't really post that in a 17/18 year old perspective, but you're probably right about their age group.

Miami does have a smaller enrollment an I think that also has something to do with it, something like 12k undergrad. Add into that you have to drive 25min from campus to the NFL stadium and it's easy to see why they don't really have that "college atmosphere" at games.

Their boosters are making quite the effort to change that

This is one of the reasons I'm not terrified of Cristobal. I think they'll be really good and recruit really well, but they won't get to national championship level partially because they won't win enough recruiting battles against SEC schools and FSU specifically because of atmosphere. Cristobal's in game coaching will also lose them a game or two every year and a well coached team can take advantage.

I agree with this. We make fun of the "Boats 'n Hoes" and the otherwise materialistic flashy culture at Da U, but it's at least partially true you kind of have to lean into that to recruit and differentiate from places like FSU and UF. Which then you're getting the kids who are perhaps talented but want to strut around on South Beach instead of going into the film room, and that's limiting too.

I like the honesty....loluva tries to fool everyone into thinking their stadium is full with a hack job photoshop attempt. Now if they could only turn that same authenticity to "The U is back" and admit that the U is never back they'll have my

Lol I almost felt a little sorry for him until he started going on about going into opposing stadiums and shutting the fans up.

Some people like to win and enjoy it as part of a community.

Some people take pleasure in upsetting as many other people as possible.

Either way, they want to win, but it still suggests other personality traits.

Small school, extremely limited campus acreage, in a pro town, with a community that doesn't want expansion. They are talking about a new stadium that's 8 miles away, but still - that may as well be the next state over for the students. I never really thought about it when I was a student, but damn I feel lucky to have lived within walking distance to the stadium all 4 years. The only way Miami will ever get that is if they buy a significant chunk of land next door (there's a huge golf course, but buying that would put the U in the financial hole for years).

Yeah, but a lot of players could care less about fan atmosphere that go there, they're probably more about getting paid.

I don't think Miami is worried about losing recruits.

but this will really hurt them with the recuirts

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

Just walk south beach and gawk. Every recruit will drool at the girls and sign immediately

I mean they do have topless beaches....

If you don't want to recruit clowns, don't run a clown show.

"I want to punch people from UVA right in the neck." - Colin Cowherd

That's not a bad idea for McCoy. Instead of tube tops, topless tubing.

One would think, but really good players care about more. I live in Old Town Scottsdale, about 10 mine from the Arizona State campus.

My brain tells me "Just walk around Tempe for 15 minutes and any 18 year old would want to come here"

But the reality of that isn't true

I had no idea MTSU had that much money to spend on NIL.

as much as I love to watch Miami suffer, its more fun to watch and enjoy when Miami is good.

I hate to say it but you are wrong. Miami should be looking up to GT and Duke as the single worst program in the ACC. I cheer for anybody against Miami except UVA, then I cheer for the meteor.

I been here since day 0.

This weekend is exactly why I'm scared but not terrified of Cristobal Miami. He'll recruit really well but not Bama/Georgia/Ohio State level. They'll win 9-10 games every year but are always a risk to drop a head scratcher and a well-coached physical team (NC State, Pitt, hopefully VT) or a team that can put up points (Wake, Cuse, FSU) can beat them. And as long as they're not playing in their own on-campus stadium, there's always the chance they'll come out sleepy.
Van Dyke was last year's ACC offensive rookie of the year and a probable first round pick. Cristobal benched him because he coached him to fail.

The U is CFB's team of the future since 2001

The U is a marine biology lab with a football team

Its a stereotype but I have worked with Miami (FL) alums and they give less than a shit about football (athletics in general). Their fanbase really is just fickle south florida trash.
