How a group of 'Next-Gen' ADs turned college football power brokers are shaping the game's future.

"A tight-knit circle of athletic director friends...... with ideas of how to reshape college athletics.
Back in the day, the think tank of emerging thinkers consisted of seven current ADs and power brokers: Del Conte (Texas), Greg Byrne (Alabama), Scott Stricklin (Florida), Ross Bjork (Texas A&M), Whit Babcock (Virginia Tech), John Currie (Wake Forest) and Greg McGarity (Gator Bowl CEO). Others circulated in and out, but that only added to their vision of the future."

Wonder if this connection will help in the realignment drama?

Was hoping Whit had a quote but definitely interesting article.

While I'm happy Whit was mentioned here and is connected with this group of ADs, I didn't find the article all that enlightening.

Looking forward to VT getting better, and strengthening it's OOC schedule. In that order.

one of these next gen AD's had a 2 generation's past football staff/personnel/infrastructure until 2022.

weaponizing the schedule with ... checks notes ... g5 schools.
