Hammerin' Hokies Split @ Duke (4/10 update)

The Hokies split a 2 game series this weekend that got off to a delayed start with the first game getting cancelled because of the weather, resulting in a rare Sunday afternoon double-header. The Hokies lost game 1, 3-1, but bounced back to salvage the split with a 5-2 win in the afternoon cap. The Hokies (18-11, 5-9 in ACC) need a rally badly at this point in the season, and fortunately the competition gets a little easier for the remainder of the season until the season series finale against Wake Forest. To start things off, Tech faces Liberty Biberty (14-18, 6-6 ASUN) @7pm on Tuesday night, then a 3-game series at home against GT.

PSA: For those that will be in town for the Spring Game, please extend your weekend fun by getting to the ballpark - the boys need some fan support. Plus, the scheduling make this real easy: two night games each starting at 7pm on Friday and Saturday, and an afternoon 1pm start time on Sunday. If you are going to make any of these games a priority I would recommend Friday since Saturday & Sunday both have a high percentage chance of rain and thunderstorms that could make things problematic for playing baseball.
