This brings the National Titles for Club Sports to 7 since 2021.
I know that Rugby accounts for two of the others. Not sure about the other 4.

We have what?! Did anyone else know there was club men's gymnastics?
Congrats to these HOKIES for bringing home some more hardware!
this really makes it sound like the club gymnastic program has won 7 natties since 2021 lol
I read it the same way like 4 times and trying to do LOLUVA math on my fingers.
Club Baseball won a natty in 2021 and looks like Club Softball won in 2022.
All of the club sports I was familiar with in college all played at a really high level. The men's club volleyball team has been a top 10 team for like 10 consecutive years.
Yep my roommate was on club volleyball and know quite a few of the guys that have played on the team. They got second last year at nationals but I don't think they've won one recently. Definitely a lot of talent with there being so few D1 men's volleyball on east coast.
What years? I was on the team my sophomore year and part of my junior year '12-'13 before I dropped it to guide/fish the New instead. Richmond and VA beach are the only two regions of men's highschool volleyball in the state but have a ton of talent if you don't get a look from Mason or Penn St you're SOL coming out of highschool on the east coast for the most part (there are a few quality D2-3 schools). A few of the guys I played HS ball with went over seas to play professionally and still struggled to get a lot of traction with recruitment out of highschool.
And they haven't won yet once you get to the top tiers and the west coast teams that use the club as a "farm" for their D1 talent it gets really hard to win as a club only school.
My roommate was on it 2014-2017 and played libero on the B team. He coaches high school now in Richmond and has been runner up in 4A the past few years. I know Cody Tingler, know of Sam Albus and the rest are more recent guys.
Yea that makes sense and I'd guess the West Coast teams just have so many more guys playing volleyball in high school so the talent pool is bigger.
I got into playing intramural volleyball and beach at Tech and now play a couple nights a week in Richmond.
Yeah that would have been right around the time I stopped being around the program as much but I'm good friends with Cody and Sam and played with and against both of them through HS till college.
Ah didn't realize you grew up in Richmond. Cody coaches with roommate now and a bunch of former tech club guys play on a team in adult league at RVC. Fun to watch Sam play in VLA and you can watch matches on youtube with a Richmond based team.
Club Sports added another National Title. Back to back for both men's rugby and now Men's Cross Country
Well when the NCAA implodes over NIL VT will be sitting pretty with our club sports!
Go Hokies!!
Thanks for posting.
More club team success...
This earned them their second consecutive #1 seed in the National tournament. Hoping they can bring it home this time!
Club Softball adds a National Title. This is back to back for Club Softball.
I love how much dirt is on those uniforms. Club Softball plays it the right way!
LET'S GO....
HOKIES!
Move over Penn St. we're Club Sports U now?
