Chamarri Conner to KC 4th Rd.

Chiefs just took Conner in 4th Round at pick 119.

Nice landing spot for Conner.

Little earlier than most projections who had him as 6th-7th Rounder.

Think Conner really turned some heads with a very solid Combine performance.

Earlier than expected so excellent news for our guy! I wonder what position/role he plays in the NFL.

Seems as if Nickel/Hybrid is where most are projecting him.

Don't think that anybody is really looking at him as an outside DB.

In fact, one of the Projections I read on him said pretty bluntly "misused in 2019 and 2020," (sorry Jham).

119 overall, has tremendous upside and athleticism.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Hope he balls out in the NFL and becomes yet another VT DB to make a name for himself nationally at the next level!

Congrats to Chamarri. Glad we got a Hokie in the NFL this year. I wasn't expecting one.

I believe the quote from the Chiefs was they "were looking to improve over that Wahoo Thornhill" who left in free agency

I can dig him going to the Chiefs. I mean personally I would have been really happy if he went slightly farther west, but KC is ok. THANK GOD(s) and all that is good and holy that he didn't go to the "football team"that has a W as their logo! May he be very successful in the NFL.

2 time Longwood grad married to a Hokie.

Surprised he went that early, but good for him. DBU lives?

Good for Chamarri! Going to one of the better franchises in the NFL, and coming off a Super Bowl win, with probably more to come, so that's an exciting place to land for him. I'm a little surprised by the 4.5'ish 40 time, but some guys don't time well, and it's game speed that counts. Good to see a Hokie drafted this year, and best of luck to him!

I actually think the 4.5 was faster than most scouts expected which probably bumped him up a round or two
