Sounds like he had fallen comfortably behind in the Mike rotation given that Keller, McDonald and Tisdale were all mentioned in the presser about Fall camp for that position.
Can't really lament the loss of what was looking like your 4th string Mike.
Maybe they already knew he was leaving by the time that Prysser happened and they knew better than to hype up a guy that would be gone soon
This is certainly possible. Any scenario, barring an off-field issue we don't know about, would suggest this was probably not going to be a situation where he was a starter here.
While I thought best case he would be a locker room guy, scrappy player, make some tackles on special teams- I am still surprised. I thought he would have a role- even as a walk on. I knew he wouldn't be Jack Tyler, but to see him bounce I am surprise by.

In all seriousness- Snyder was a walk on. so no impact on the scholly numbers
Watched VMI vs Wake Forest while in bed sick. I don't know how he was an AA. Evan Eller was a much more impressive linebacker. Snyder struggled to tackle in space.
Hurry up and shake that bug so we can go fishin'.
I watched some of his film. My first impression was that his feet/footwork were not the best. Felt like he might get exposed at this level. What was your take when you watched film.

From Friday's Prysser it sounds like he realized he was going to get beat out for the role and didn't feel it was in his best interest to try to compete with it seeing as he would have burned his last year of eligibility

Sorta glad we are beyond endless eligibility due to covid laxity.
I wouldn't be surprised if with 3 MLB in front of him on the depth chart they told him he wouldn't dress or be on the travel roster.
That would be pretty difficult to accept and hang around.
