I need a nap.
I read that as College of the Crayons
I don't believe he's a Marine.
Isn't that UNC?
You know what, I did too. Didn't even bat an eye at the thought eithern till I read your comment.
Well, you might be mistaking for Crayon College, but I doubt we'd be too psyched for any signings from there (unless we have a 15-17 year development program)
I see what you did there.
6'5?! I'm a fan already.
Dadi vibes
Welcome aboard fam! Addition at a position of need!
Here's his hudl video
Primarily shows him as a standing edge rusher. Seems to have decent speed and dropped into coverage on one play and made a pass breakup. Hopefully the strength coaches can get him add some muscle.
Saw a quote from him on 247 saying he wanted to gain 10lbs and play closer to 235, so hopefully that means he's willing to put in the work!
WHOA
Noice noice
This is great! But this is me after how some other transfer recruits have gone this cycle...
as a JUCO player, he is signing as a recruit like Jerod Evans and Marco Lee. Not a transfer portal pickup like Darian Varner would have been, so hopefully that puts your mind at ease a little bit
He has already signed, according to 247
Amazing news! There's no way he actually just had 3 offers like 247 is showing right?
JUCO recruiting is a strange animal. I think it has been further complicated by the transfer portal similar to HS recruiting.
I wouldn't be surprised if he only had three offers he felt worth reporting. A smaller pool of P5 schools look at JUCO, period. An even smaller pool of P5 schools recruit JUCO beyond a couple of the bigger, more notable JUCO's. Then you have more P5 teams prioritizing transfer options that previously would have been schollies for JUCO, etc.
I wouldn't sweat the offer list here either way.
This is good news. An area we really need to upgrade.

worth noting that at #8 JUCO player in the country, he has a 90 grade by 247. The #1 player has a 91 grade and #2-7 are also 90. I believe the tiebreaker is composite, and he's got 0.885 composite. Either way this is a talented pickup who slots in near the top of our 23 class ratings-wise.
Very excited about this, but very confused about the recruiting/transfer schedule. I know that he is a JUCO, not a transfer, so that means he can sign? I thought we were in a dead period but guess not?
Surprise!!! Today is actually National Signing Day believe it or not lol
Jennette committing today like

From the best damn high school in Durham NC, Charles E Jordan HS! Falcon Pride!
My son heads to Jordan next year!
We have a JJ...dyn...o...mite!
He's going to need a better nickname /s
Jentleman James Jennette?
Hybrid DEs can go one of two ways: speedster that can make ridiculous plays (like Dadi freshman through junior years) or a mediocre every down DE asked to take on blocks in the running game that wears a player of that size down (like Dadi senior year). Let's hope Pry and Marve have plans for him to stay a speedster, passing down specialist.
His measurables are almost identical to Dadi's too (6'3" 135 lbs going into the draft).
I think there is a typo in there somewhere. ;>)
Yup Dadi was atleast 153 lbs
Bro in the king transfer thread has a leg that weighs more than that
"leg"
Did I see somewhere he only had 1.5 sacks last year? That's a concern, no?
He played a hybrid position (stand up DE), only played in 7 games and played for a bad team, so could have been double teamed
I swear he has more than that in his highlight tape alone. Who knows if/how folks were tracking stats- supposedly they only had 9 sacks as a team last year in 10 games, which would've been 2nd worst in the country if it were FBS.
They do have some full games on Youtube if anyone wants to take a look.
