Not sure what it is but my technology doesnt like Duke either. Piecing this together on my phone.
Duke is coached by Jon Scheyer, who is 19-8 in his debut after sitting in Coach K's shadow for nearly a decade.
Scheyer defensively plays primarily man to man but they like to deploy zone in limited situations. It's something I wish Coach Young would do. "Switching defenses kind of brings a little chaos to the offense," said Duke junior guard Jeremy Roach. Duke employed more zone against BC, Georgia Tech and Miami to account for their use of perimeter screening.
Offensively Scheyer is still kind of in Flux with how he employs his talent. He mainly relies on the inside out game of Filipowski and Roach. Those two account for nearly 37% of Dukes offense. The rest of the roster essentially orbits around the opportunities those two create for them. Usually there will be a three guard-two forward set with high perimeter screens to allow penetration and force defenses to choose to shift and possibly leave Walking bucket Filipowski with space to contest the drive.

Duke is one of the most balanced and uses the most bench of anyone in the ACC. They go ten deep. They rely on the bench to provide nearly thirty points per night.
Duke defensively is top three or four in the ACC this season. They hold opponents to 33% from the perimeter.
Duke also is the best in the ACC in limiting opponent rebounds. That does not bode well for this Hokies team.
Duke will have no one out injury wise and are led by Freshman Center Kyle Filipowski, who is expected to be a Top 3 pick in the next NBA draft. His game is much more polished than Post from BC and we all saw the problems Post caused the Hokies.
Duke struggles from the perimeter but that doesn't seem to matter with the Hokies. Duke relies on interior scoring for 40+ points and usually gains 8 more points at the line from interior fouls.
For the Hokies, Maddox is out for a seventh straight game. No idea on what the issue is but starting to look like he may be done for the season.
The Hokies last time out beat Duke by hitting their threes (52%) and getting to the line more.
If the Hokies are not shooting well they must do that much better on defense. Being in front of the Krazies should be enough to get them motivated but it's hard to say with this team.

Note the announcers talking about Duke focusing on the screening actions. It's because the book is in on Youngs defense and slow under screen transitions since Young refuses to throw in some zone.

Here's my opinion... You can't always control when your shots are falling, but you can absolutely control what kind of defense you play. We don't play defense. That's my biggest gripe with CMY
Even when we do, half that time it's in a style that's not going to be successful against the other team's offensive style
