This shouldn't be a surprise after looking what his future is a better fit for. He has been very limited in spring and summer football. Has played well during UVA World Series run. Will likely be high draft pick if he stays with it. But this really hurts UVA football.
Was the front runner after last season to take over the starting job from Armstrong. Now it's transfer from Monmouth with backups of true freshmen and 2 redshirt freshmen

That makes a lot more sense lol - you should probably include this in the OP.
Just assumed most people on here would have passing knowledge of biggest in state rival and their woes.
To be honest, I don't even think our biggest state rival has a passing knowledge of their woes.
Yeah, they just have woes.
I think it's a little different in the portal era where a third of every roster turns over each offseason. We all follow the Hokies, and a handful of other headlines. I think just about all of TKP knows Armstrong left. I don't think (m)any of know who else is on the roster.
Personally speaking, I know one UVA grad, and he doesn't even follow football. I have no reason to know about random 2/3 stars on their roster.
But anyways, to the point of your post, sounds like they are really fucked at qb.

Over on Reddit, the UVA fans sounded hopeful about the guy taking over the reigns. Wasn't sure if that was legit, or if they're just going through the stages of DABDA collectively.
You know what assuming does...
To be fair you didnt make a new thread to inform us that they got the transfer from Monmouth, so how would we have known?
I barely know who's on our roster right now.
Also, it's uva. My main knowledge of them is that they suck. And right now, that is true from both a Hokie fan perspective (uva will always suck), and from a purely objective perspective. I only know uva quarterbacks when they're good or getting embarrassed by our defense.
Biggest state rival? This isn't about ODU
It really is sad that the two large, supposedly, flagship schools in Virginia have been no better - if not worse - then Liberty, JMU and ODU the past few years. Yes, I know ODU has been worse overall, but head-to-head with them has been embarrassing. Hopefully Pry and Company put this behind us very quickly. UVa can remain mired.
He's just mad we took both of the 4* WRs in VA in this recruiting class.
Maybe he left because we got all of the receivers.
Drink
So he decided he didn't want to get mashed by our front 7, and would instead prefer to be mashed by our lineup. Cool
Probably doesn't have any good Offensive Linemen to throw the ball to. Makes sense.
uva just got suckier, if that was possible
J.G. Wentworth...It's your money, get it now!
Good.
When the Norfolk Wahoos heard the news they all sighed and went "Woolfolk"
I remember on the VT 247 site back in 2020 (or 2021?) there was a movement to bring Tony Elliot to VT to replace Fuente. I am so happy that never became a thing.
UVA didn't learn the most obvious lesson in college football the last decade, never hire a Clemson assistant as your HC. Chad Morris, Jeff Scott, etc were all terrible as HCs. Jury is still out with Venables but I have a feeling he'll be joining the list soon enough. Tony Elliot's entire resume is propped up by Trevor Lawrence and the surrounding 1st round talent he got to work with.
UVA is going to be terrible for the foreseeable future (what else is new), and going to be wishing they had stayed content with mid under Mendenhall (I know he technically resigned but pretty certain that was due to some AD meddling). At least he could put together a fun offense and a good season here and there. They should have gone hard at Elko or tried to go outside the box like they did with Mendenhall.
I am so happy we avoided Elliott after all of the rumors he was coming to Bburg. Maybe that Whit presser backing Fuente really was a last second noping TF out by someone at Tech that saw this Elliott mess coming.
I would have been interested to see what UVA would look like if they gave Poindexter a shot, but the Tony the Tiger iteration of the hoos looks like it's going to give us the classic loluva experience we've all come to know and love.
