Can we just teach the men's basketball and football teams to play games where we have to stress over watching a 23-point halftime lead dwindle to a 12-point victory?
The hearts (and livers) of Hokie Nation would be so much healthier!

They had a great story about Brooks on the radio yesterday. He said he came out of his man cave after a couple hours one day and found Kitley and Amore in his kitchen baking. He asked when did you get here? They said a couple of hours ago. Now that is a man that the team is comfortable with both the Coach and his family.

It is pretty neat to see that the team truly acts like family. I'm sure that all starts with Brooks. Amoore is pretty much an adopted Kitley. And based on the amount of hugging after each win, everyone seems really close as well.

Honestly Iowa scares me just as much as South Carolina. If Duke can knock them off I'd feel better going up against a known ACC foe. Would love for Toledo to give Tennessee a run today too

Even though we beat Tennessee at their house earlier in the season, I do not want to play them. If they beat us I'll have to hear the puke orange shitheads go on about it and I really don't want that.
It's sad that being a Hokie over the last few years has me continually mentally preparing myself for a loss every time we play....

Anyone know about tickets for Seattle? Will VT be selling tickets? I'm only a couple hours drive from Seattle and I want to go support the ladies in person

It was a "neutral" court. But we wore "home" team uniforms, it was at our "home" court, and is supposed to be a reward for doing better during the season and achieving the higher seed.
We know the truth, the NCAA just doesn't like Metallica.

If he is right he looks good to the fan base and if he is wrong no one will really care and he will be on to his end of season woes write up and offseason outlook writeups.

Both teams had 6 players in for at least 20 minutes.
Kitley, Soule, and Amoore were held to a COMBINED 20 points, while Traylor, King, and Gregg combined for nearly 40. This was the first game after Owusu's injury and the team had a total of 3 days of practicing without her.
Tennessee admittedly were using backups in Suarez and Key, who haven't seen much action since, while leading scorer Jackson was on the bench, as was Hollingshead, who at 6-5 will be one of the tallest players Kitley's gone up against all season.
It won't be a walk in the park. Expect shallow benches and a battle on the post.

Can we leave these refs behind?
Heard lots of people saying let's hope these ref's don't travel as I left the game yesterday.
FAM! We won despite the ref's keeping the game from being a rout.
FAMalamadingdong!
That's how every team will play us, better get used to it. It was a stressful second half but we got the win FAM!!! β€οΈπ¦π

Although I don't know if I really want to go back to senior year of high school...
Fun fact: the class of 2002's class ring pays homage to that sweet 16 team.
It's a new era in Hokies Women's Basketball
FAM
Ladies path got a little lighter with Stanford losing tonight FAM
That side is still tough though. I watched a little bit of Georgia vs #2 Iowa. Those Iowa girls are strong and they can shoot. They are legit
No easy games left at this point, especially since we lose home court advantage and they sent us to the opposite side of the country.
Agreed, our quadrant is just stacked it seems.

Not sure if Tech will be selling but here is a link to tickets that are currently available.

Please go. I hope as many Hokies that can will go. I love to hear the "Let's go Hokies" chant on national TV.
I've got two worlds of mine that are colliding, and I love it:
VT Fans Sing Metallica's "Enter Sandman" After NCAA Bans Its Use
I will freely admit to singing along in the stadium. I hadn't heard that it has been banned specifically, but figured it was NCAA crap like that.
Banned only for hosting the 1st two NCAA games. It's considered a neutral court for the tournament.
If we win it all, we really need Metallica to open for them on Opening Night next year
It was a "neutral" court. But we wore "home" team uniforms, it was at our "home" court, and is supposed to be a reward for doing better during the season and achieving the higher seed.

And FWIW, this made a headline on SI.com!
I think "FAM" everytime I hear Amoore's accent
Playing the Lady Vols in the Sweet Sixteen.
Indiana goes down in the bracket above us!
To a team we beat by 26 on March 3rd.
And Loserville spanked Texas to advance as well.
So you're saying they are the Indiana Loosiers?
Metallica with a shout out for the Hokies
Ticket purchased, anyone else going to the game in Seattle??
One Tenn beat writer predicting a 78!-65 Tenn win. Bold given we held them to 56 (season avg for our def I think) on their home court.
We also never trailed in the game, and had the lead for 38:36. And this was on THEIR home court, as you said.
If he is right he looks good to the fan base and if he is wrong no one will really care and he will be on to his end of season woes write up and offseason outlook writeups.

Looks like Miami is on to the elite 8...
