Not swept yet. Game tomorrow at 1 pm but I wouldn't doubt getting swept tbhπ
I was like wait a minute they play today! Very true, not much hope unless Wake decides to clear the bench. Been close the first two games but a microcosm of the entire seasons here in WS
Updated. Thanks. I looked back and realized I tallied two of the game one posts as finals when one was an inning update.
Hokies up 11-3 in the 7th
14-5 Hokies in the 9th
14-6 final. Some momentum going into the acc tournament. Which I think the team has to at least make the finals to be a part of the discussion for the ncaa tournament
Well that's an emphatic way to make sure you don't get swept.
Hope that woke up the bats for the postseason
Ooof. Not a pool I wanted to see. Clemson and Boston college
I'll be going to the game vs clemson on Wednesday at 7pm. For those who might not know you can see any game at the Bulls stadium for practically free at Tobacco Wood Brewing. Their beer and food are decent but nothing to brag about though.
Well, in today's BC game, bottom of 3, 2 outs, 2 strikes, no runs, and the ump calls a ball on a strike on the outside corner. Really crappy call. Next pitch the pitcher had to come back over the plate and he gets a hit. 4 runs later, the Hokies are trailing. Here's hoping our bats stay hot.
With a single, walk, bunt to move the runners, and a single up the middle, the Hokies are back up 5-4. Credit to the Hokies for continuing to fight.
Small ball! Nice to see that quick come back.
Omitting the fact that we had a 3-0 lead before that, but we let those runners get on. We dont have much margin for error, and we're going to have to hit lights-out for the tournament in order to do ANYTHING beyond this week.
Swinging at sliders inside and around the ankle usually doesn't result in any contact... but that was a blown call by the 3B umpire.
and that is not a fun place to get hit by a baseball. There aren't any fun places to get hit by a baseball, but that definitely isn't one of them.
we should probably start a new thread....
