that Kenny Brooks and the Women's Basketball program just signed the #6 recruiting class IN THE COUNTRY

Brooks went tall for this class, across the board, as the shortest is Lexi Blue, a 6-2 Point Guard rated 95 by Hoopgurlz, the #38 prospect in the country, and the third highest rated recruit in VT history (Kitley, #33, 97; Sheppard, #34, 97).
Next tallest is 4* Myah Hazelton, a 6-4 Forwards who committed back in 2022, and will join a very crowded frontcourt.
But the tower of the group is 6-7 Portuguese Center Clara Silva, who some scouts have stated that if she had been born in the USA, she'd not only be a 5* prospect, but a top-10, with several others calling Silva the best international player and best center in the 2024 recruiting cycle, which if that is the case, would put her in the top 5, at a projected rating of 98.
All that height means that in the 24-25 (and 25-26 (and 26-27)) season, Brooks could conceivably have five players on the court (Blue, Baker, Hazelton, Strack, Silva) who are all 6-2 or taller. Based on that, expect a very heavy push towards guards over the next class or two.

Let's Go!
Hokies!
Brooks is really building something here and I think he has the "it" factor as a coach to not just pull recruits, but make a top 10 team year in and year out. I really hope they match if not exceed last year, but I don't feel like they will just completely fall off with King, Kitley, and Amoore leaving after this year
Crazy that we will have 9 or 10 R-FR, FR and SO on the roster next season and may still be the favorite to win the ACC.
WOOOOOOO
GET THAT SHIP, GET THAT LUXURY CRUISE LINER, GET THAT BOAT OUT ON THE WATER HOSSETTES[pls you're all we got right now]
Kenny ain't playn'
The women's basket program has found it's mojo with Kenny Brooks!
Really like what I saw of Strack. I remember one play where she took a pass from Amoore, I think, and went right to the hoop through the defender. If she turns out to be a more physical Kitley, we have several more years of ACC player of the year candidate.
So signed or just committed. Does basketball recruiting work the same as football or no?
Signed
This is correct. All three signed their NLI.
"Here they are. Signed, sealed, committed, they're ours!"
This is some great news. Kenny Brooks doing work! Love it!
That is some height. Wow. Kenny Brooks is shorter than that entire recruiting class. Can't refer to any of them as "mini-me" anymore!
>proceeds to make the thread title be entirely about the football loss and not about the WBB recruiting class at all
I expected this to be a UVA hate thread
