Can't say I'm shocked Sam Houston State can't find a way to score.

Stoked Slye got that 50 yarder.

Yeah...I dont see Brad having a long tenure @ SHSU----his "Offense" is absolutely dead last in D-1 averaging 9.5 PPG and 219 total yards a game.

They've scored 16 tonight, its like an Offensive explosion for a Cornfense.

Look he is just doing his best to keep Iowa from being last.

Don't look now they might mess around and win this...

I'm still figuring this out.

Hell yeah, hopefully lil Stro can repeat this Saturday.

LOLuva.

That is all.

Edit: holy shit, time cop is W&M's coach. This is beautiful.

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

Hmmm I hate Maryland but it would be hilarious if they beat Ohio State

Sure, but them losing again is almost as good, in a Lucy and the football kind of way.

Damn, looks like William&Mary lost their magic for the day.

Between Mizzou, the Twerps, and W&M I was hoping for an upset today

There is still time for lolUVA to fall apart in the 4th. I'm holding out hope they have to put Colandrea back in after another couple sacks by W&M.

Fingers crossed, but I won't hold my breath on it. Lol

Besides, looking like Mizzou and Oklahoma might pan out.

That Venebles guy has OU playing defense. Turns out he just needed a year to get the Grinch out of his players.

Edit: I checked again and Mizzou has lost the lead

OU and Texas finally got it figured out just in time to get punched in the mouth in the $EC next year.

Maybe they'll be fine based on LSU the last 2 weeks

👀👀👀

Edit: nvm

Man I love Texas losing. There's nothing more satisfying than the most arrogant program in the country spending tons of money to lose. Hoping OU can pull off the win.

Brian Kelly is about to lose his ish.

That last series from maryland was not only ineffective but just bizarre

I'll never forgive Mizzou for blowing this

Very clutch of Oklahoma

UAB looks like an xfl team

I'm still figuring this out.

And Miami looks like an arena team

I'm still figuring this out.

Pretenders all along

Those jerseys are awful

Go ND! ????

Feels dirty saying that, but I despise Loserville almost as much as I despise LOLUVA

Is coronavirus over yet?

Been watching ND and Sam Hartman all year... Seems like Dave Clawson is the real genius.

Is coronavirus over yet?

Hartman's Arm strength leaves A LOT to be desired--Clawson's offense worked wonders to mask that and thrive.

He hasn't had nearly the same Stats and success at ND---sometimes the grass isn't greener.

Grass isn't, but the NIL money sure is!

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Just tuned into the Miami game. What are they doing, they look like off-brand mountain dew cans?

Wow. Those might be the most hideous uniforms I have ever seen.

Lights out for the Irish....they made Loserville look like world beaters

Their playoff chances are shot, I love it

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 @ Miami.

If you play it, they will win.

Miami could have taken a knee and walked off with a win. They instead hand the ball off. Fumble. GT ball with under a minute...

Leave a WR wide open. GT goes ahead with a TD with 1 second left.

Simply amazing.

Miami just literally fumbled the game away. Instead of taking a knee in victory formation, they ran a draw play, the RB fumbled (debatable, couldn't overturn on review based on available angles), and with 0:22 left, GT marched down the field and got a TD with 0:01 remaining in the game. Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Miami-GT Ending

Tim Hasselback said it was the worst coaching decision he had ever seen. Even after the horrible coaching decision to give up the fumble, they then allow GT to go 75yds in 26 seconds with no timeouts. LOL

Miami, yikes

That's about as bad a way to lose a game at it can possibly get, including the Fuente icing the Liberty kicker. They had that game won and greed bit them in the ass.

Miami wins Schadenfreude Play of the Week.

So Cristobal appearantly doesn't take a knee ever. Miami has had thr chance in 5 games and didn't do it once this year. He also had the exact same thing happen to him in 2018 against Stanford I believe.

Am I out of line thinking 6-6 is a real possibility with our remaining schedule after watching this week's ACC games?

Wake couldn't manage 240 yards of offense against Clemson who gave up 375 to Duke, 300 to FAU
Syracuse also barely managed 280 against Clemson, and gave up 650 to UNC, while only gaining 220
Louisville (probably a loss) gave up 500 yards to GT and 430 to BC
BC needed a last minute fumble recovery to beat Holy Cross and had to come back from a 2 score deficit to beat UVA
NC State only managed 24 points against a UCONN team and has the dead last place passing defense in the ACC
UVA.....is UVA. 18 rushing yards against JMU and worst rushing offense in the ACC, paired with a rushing D that looks like ours

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

It definitely feels more attainable than it did two weeks ago

Onward and upward

Think we can go 4-2 vs:

  • Wake
  • Louisville
  • BC
  • Syracuse
  • NC State
  • UVA

feels plausible, but not 'likely' IMO

Edit: SP+ has us favored against UVA and BC, that's it for now.

To me, Louisville is the only likely loss as they are the most complete and balanced offense we have remaining.

Wake is probably next on the list, as they are better than us offensively, but they just aren't putting the ball in the end zone. Sort of our problem the last 4 or so years, as evident by the fact they are tied for the lead the ACC if FGA.

BC has a good running game, but their passing game is very pedestrian, so I would expect us trying to sell out to stop the run against them. They're also bottom of the ACC in punting

Syracuse and NC State have the worst passing defenses in the ACC, whereas passing has been our strength and neither of them are hitting 80% of their FG

UVA isn't averaging 100 ypg on the ground so far, as an offense is putting up very similar total yardage numbers, but score fewer points than us. Defensively, the are very similar in what they are allowing, but they give up a touchdown a game more than we do. They are also dead last in punting net.

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

Outside of Louisville. Cuse scares me the most next Garrett Sharder will carve us up on the ground.

(add if applicable) /s

whereas passing has been our strength

This might have been true in the first couple games. I think our running game with Drones and Tuten is our strength now, though

Onward and upward

I think our running game with Drones and Tuten is our strength now, though

Bhayshul For President

Yes, Tuten is the real hero. But the running game really opened up when Drones came in. Or, perhaps more accurately, when Wells went out. Idk if the threat of Drones running is the reason. Or if it's playcalling. Or some combination of the two. But the fact is with Drones and Tuten on the field the running game is much better than when it was Wells and Tuten. Therefore, our running game with Drones AND Tuten is our strength now.

Onward and upward

Agree. I'd say 1:1 odds at best right now that we go 4-2, but I'd say maybe 2:1 odds we go 3-3 against that remaining slate. I'd put the over under on remaining wins for us at 3.5.

I'd love to make a bowl for the extra practice, if nothing else, but I'd be happy with 5 wins. If we lose to Loserville and Syracuse, and maybe NCST, I won't be pissed.

We'd better not lose to UVA or BC, though. Those teams are truly terrible. I don't expect us to win them all, but I want to be able to say we beat the teams we should have beaten at the end of the season. If we can beat Pitt, we can beat UVA and BC.

Deposit whiskey, receive wisdom.

Sure we can go 4-2. It will take not 50 false starts, not 20 wide open 75 yard runs on our defense, not 20 delay of games. we can certainly compete with BC, UVA, Wake, Cuse. Will we look like we've not practiced though? Its more about our endless bonehead mistakes that kill drives and momentum

Week 1 Hokies would go 2-4 with that schedule winning squeakers over BC and LOLUVa.

Week 5 Hokies? 4-2 with a heartbreakingly close loss to Syracuse or NCSU coupled with a more victory against Louisville.

Miami vs GT's first year coach:

2008 Paul Johnson

Final Score: 43-23

2019 Geoff Collins
Spread: Miami -19.5
Final Score: 28-21

2023 Brent Key
Spread: Miami -19.5
Final Score: 23-20

Dallas Cowboys are soft as fuck. So tired of this team.

I said this on here when Miami hired Mario, I'm not afraid of Miami dominating this league. They'll be good and probably push for 10 wins and ACCCG appearances. But as long as Mario is the head man, they will always be beatable. As I posted on the Cover 3 Locks Show live chat when Chip took GT +890, Mario is always good for a dud.

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

The end game clock management is downright baffling, and it's even more hilarious that he's got a track record for this sort of behavior. Lol.

I think you're right though. Miami will always be a peg or two under true elites like Clemson/Florida State. Good enough for 9-10 wins annually.

Miami is a mercurial program that has only been elite when they were just outright cheating and lacking institutional control. They got pegged for it once in the 90s and should've been again if not for the NCAA being spineless. Now with the rise of the SEC programs nearby the huge arms race of facilities and money being poured into recruiting, plus their ability to cheat being totally negated by NIL, they just don't have an edge anymore. They also have a small fan base, it's a small private school in an urban footprint, and they play 10 miles away from campus in a pro stadium. I just don't think Miami is ever going to be "back."

Nailed it. They have only been good when they have openly cheated. Like Memphis basketball- when they openly cheat, they can be a final four program. Miami is never good when they are even pretending to play by the rules. Butch Davis- a scum bag- tried to at least pretend to clean the program up and they lost too much. They aren't a serious contender until Cristobal cheats- which he will.

Butch was openly cheating at UM and he left right before Coker let the best college football team ever assembled take him to a championship. Butch got fire at UNC years later for cheating. He wasn't hiding anything.

Shannon tried to clean up the program and lost.

In his post game presser he also shifted blame to the RB (Chaney) for fumbling. Granted, he shouldn't fumble, but he shouldn't have ever been in that situation. Kneel down and the game is literally over.

Fire Whit.

These coaches are paid millions of dollars in the NFL and college, and so many of them don't know basic math. Basic math. Andy Reid learned this after 15 years on the job. Basic math. GT had one timeout with 38 seconds left in the game. You take a knee- they burn the timeout. There is now roughly 30 seconds left in the game. You take another knee and shake hands- they can't stop the clock and the play clock is 40 seconds. Basic math. Basic. Game is over.

It boggles the mind. I can't think of a single legitimate reason to be running the ball at that point. Is it some kind of weird flex? Like the old "it's not our job to not run up the score, it's your job to stop us" giga-chad bullshit?

Deposit whiskey, receive wisdom.

This exact situation is such a major fuckup that it has its own name in the NFL, which immediately got the entire league to shift into taking knees. Nah man, that's not on your RB for fumbling, that's on you for putting your RB into a position where he could even fumble it away.

Putting a cap on week 6:

Well, they certainly nailed Miami.
