So early on, both defenses look pretty solid. I think we'll be lucky to score against Louisville

Onward and upward

For that matter, we might be lucky to score against nc state

Onward and upward

I am legit worried we may not score against either of these defenses.

Onward and upward

Didn't even see that one. I was waiting for Utah Oregon State, but Louisville nc state works for now!

That was one of the worst kicks I've seen this year.

Brennan Armstrong doing uva things throwing picks in the end zone. Wolfpack doing everything they can to lose this one. Ugly football #goacc

Onward and upward

Did they just say 8th year Senior?

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

It's crazy to think that just 12 years ago we would run both of these teams off the field.

Is coronavirus over yet?

State is learning why you never trust a UVa transfer

You can take the player out of Charlottesville, but you can't take that Charlottesville stank out of the player

#85 Moore, the punter will wear #25 on Saturday.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

I didn't realize we were still doing that

Here's hoping he doesn't get too much work

Onward and upward

I cannot think of another player that has ruined their draft stock as much as Armstrong has.

Yeah but that's the risk you take when you commit to UVa

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

I don't think his draft stock was ever much better than a 6th round flyer. He doesn't have an NFL arm.

UVA quarterbacks and shitting the bed

Name a more iconic pairing

UNC quarterbacks shitting the bed?

If you can't handle my shit posts, you don't deserve my memes

My god that was awful 😂

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster

Lol. Armstrong for the loss. Classic uva

Onward and upward

What a stupid pass. Throw it away!

Wow Armstrong what the hell are you doing

Good grief, what a self induced meltdown

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

Armstrong has more Ints than TDs, he ran 17 times tonight with 2 being sacks. Last time he was with Anae he ran 98 times in 12 games, he has 69 in 5 already.

Real interested to see Brad Glenn's offense for cincy

Onward and upward

This durham game day thing is really a pukefest.

Pain is Temporary, Chicks Dig Scars
Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

If the fighting Mike Elko's play a really competitive game against ND tonight, and possibly win, I think it will make me question things with Pry and Co. even more. I'm not suggesting we should be a top 10/15 team however if Duke can be a top 10/15 team I have to think we should, at the very least, be a competitive P5 team.

Is coronavirus over yet?

Elko was on my short list for good reason. But I never thought he'd do this. However, would you rather have a Dave Aranda who had a great 2nd season but then a losing 3rd season and is currently 1-3. Or Norvell hired the same year, who slowly improved every year. Or PJ Fleck, who a lot of people here like peaked his 3rd season and has some decent seasons after but isn't looking so good this season as it looks like there are maybe 3 wins left for them based on their play so far.

Every coach has a different set of challenges and a different timeline. If Pry wasn't improving recruiting then sure the house is on fire. I don't want to say everything is okay either, but 3 OLine coaches in 3 years is tough on the players, having safeties play LB is also tough. Some of that is recruiting and roster management from the previous regime and some of it we will lean about the limitations of the staff.

Ray Davis (RB, Kentucky) playing like his life depends on it today. Dude is taking names.

Warning- Filter lost.

"Look at this... This is just spectacular.... These people are losing their minds"

So ummm.... Colorado might not be as back as we thought

My goodness, Deion's fake little "look at humble little ole me...except I'm a millionaire already to fall back on" bullshit isn't working out? Fuck that dude and the horse he rode in on. Enjoying him getting spanked. He is the personification of what is wrong with the sport and culture at large.

Enjoying him getting spanked. He is the personification of what is wrong with the sport and culture at large.

I couldn't disagree more. His persona certainly brings with it some deserved criticism and hate. It also brings other personalities around him who affect the CFB product in a "celebrity" kind of way. However, Deon is simply working the system that exists to his favor, and I happen to appreciate that. Additionally, I think he genuinely cares about the boys he is coaching - desiring to form them into functioning and productive members of society in whatever ways they can.

Hate him if you want, you are certainly welcome to do so. But I wish we had a forward thinking person in Blacksburg right now.

Is coronavirus over yet?

If you think that is forward thinking, then we are at a massive rift in agreement. Deion is nothing but hype. You know what VT needs? Really good football coaches right now. Mike Elko and Charles Huff both wanted this job and we passed. Those are the kind of guys to build a program with.

Supposedly, Deion is actually really good at explaining complex scheme stuff and breaking it in understandable concepts (RJ has interviewed a lot of colorados players and they've said that I guess). I think he's more than just hype and fluff.

I don't know if I'm rooting for him, and I definitely wouldn't want him in Blacksburg, but I think having a villain in college football is good for the game.

At this point I don't really care what kinda baggage someone has. If they're a proven winner I want them in Blacksburg. We haven't had that in over a decade

Onward and upward

Yea, I'm still a hard no to Hugh freeze, art briles, etc. I don't think Deion would work with the donors or admin here, but that's another conversation

Mike Elko and Charles Huff both wanted this job and we passed.

Pure speculation on your part.

Wrong. Totally wrong. I won't give up my sources, but I'm connected enough to know. And if anyone has a TSL subscription, go look at CC's thoughts on our AD. Tired of people calling people out here as uninformed.
Go back and look - I called the Beamer retirement announcement in 2015. Heard directly from a donor. I don't flippantly post bs.

I won't give up my sources, but I know a guy who confirmed that those people are full of crap.

Edit: this is in reference to the "vegetarians", not the other guy. Also, I don't care about someone's whiny little downvote. I'll downvote myself to make sure I don't lose it.

Usc is also legitimately good. They will likely be in the playoff, if not this year, then next

Onward and upward

You sure bout that?

We thought Colorado would be a 3 win team. Then they won 3 games.

Then everyone thought they must be an 8 win team.

Then they got (are getting) blown out in the next 2 games (against top 10 teams).

Now everyone seems to think the wheels are falling off.

They're a 5-7 win team.

That's forward-thinking right there. /s

They also lost arguably their best playmaker (Hunter) to injury. If it's one thing Hokie fans should understand it's what happens when you have no depth and a star player goes down.

"Nope, launch him into the sun and fart on him on the way up"
-gobble gobble chumps

"11-0, bro"
-Hunter Carpenter (probably)

Colorado still scores more points in a half than we do in entire games. Against a really good defense too.

Onward and upward

Are you talking about USC because most people wonder how Alex Grinch is still employed

I really need cuse to turn it around and hurt clemson in the second half

Onward and upward

Florida's run defense looks like ours, maybe we can trade this week and we'll have Florida's run defense from earlier this season?

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

I love how Notre Dame was caught with only 10 defenders on the OSU game winning touchdown last week...

So Florida stacks the box with 13 against Kentucky this week.

I think defenses everywhere should really work hard at having 11 players on the field.

Watching GT/BG... yo Scott Leoffler has put on like 50lbs. Looks like Brady hoke out there.

Late nights in the film room with takeout, they'll get after ya

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

Hey good for him beating GT

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster

yo BG has a killer Gyro place. I stop there every year on my fishing trip up to Mich

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

If it's the one in thinking of there is also on in athens oh at Ohio u

ODU beating Marshall at half

uva did uva things and handed BC a win

uva - the taint of the ACC
Callused perineum is a symptom of being a uva fan

bet UVA to cover at half. They still lost. This is a great feeling

If you can't handle my shit posts, you don't deserve my memes

Gonna be at the Duke Notre Dame game tonight. Hoping the hokies game is the same result as when I was at a San Diego Padres game during the ODU game.

Yes,that's the Hokie Bird riding a camel. Why'd you ask?

So, what non-VT game are you going to this weekend? Do we need to pitch in and get you tickets?

All UCF had to do was ride out a 25 point 4th quarter lead...and they lost by 1 to Baylor. Don't bet, kids...

Ole miss has over 700 yards of offense

uva - the taint of the ACC

That's LSU - Ole Miss game really got out of hand at the end, I thought I had it in pickem but nope

Duke is up on ND with a minute left!

and now they arent

Oof...

Duke just had their Fuck Matt Ryan moment

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

And it just went from bad to worse for Duke

Leonard hurt and it doesn't look good

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

Gutted for Riley Leonard. Dude is an absolute dog and that game was a brawl. Hope he can get well soon.

Fire Whit.

He's on crutches in the post game

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

Heart breaking loss for the Devils. Can't believe they gave up a 17 yard run on 4th and 16.

Either way won't be shocked if they are the ones who are FSUs whipping boy in the ACC championship.

Yes,that's the Hokie Bird riding a camel. Why'd you ask?

Duke blitzed Hartman on 2nd down and 3rd down and make the him throw it away. On 4th down, they rush 3 and Hartman runs for 18 yards. KEEP BLITZING!

Sorry to see Duke lose. Is hard to say that, but there are few teams I dislike more than ND. Penn State, Virginia and Harvard might be the only ones.

UVA hasn't been 0-5 since 1982, so infant me saw this one before

Just now tuning into the toy story game. This is ridiculous.

Are you kidding it was awesome my girls were watching while we ate breakfast at Disney.

It was very entertaining, but still so absurd. I liked the trivia questions. Slinky dog as the chain gang and the claw dropping the ball were great choices. I missed the halftime show while mowing, but I heard good things from the viewers at home.

Armstrong just got benched at NCSTATE. Wow what a fall for that kid.

NCST never should have taken him to begin with - UVA is not a place to go for football players

Cam'Ron Kelly is apparently at Louisville now and has won acc db of the week twice this year already including this past week according to on3:

"Kelly intercepted a pass in the end zone on NC State's first drive of the second half, ending the Wolfpack drive at the Cards' 15-yard line, and forced a fumble which Ramon Puryear recovered to stall another NC State drive. Kelly, who picked up his second weekly conference honor this season, has two interceptions in his first season at Louisville and forced his first fumble since joining the Cards. Louisville held NC State to 201 yards of total offense, its lowest total since a 198-yard performance against Notre Dame in 2016, and to only 112 passing yards, also its lowest total since passing for 41 yards in the 2016 Notre Dame game."
