Interesting video from Brent Davis. He breaks down the GT counter scheme we used to open up a big gain for Kyron Drones against BC this year. I enjoyed this and thought others might too.

Seems a bit better than Cornelson's a few years back
That play puts some serious heat on the defense, especially having to go one on one with tuten or drones. Great looking play.
Very cool, thanks for sharing. I get the sense that Davis was a key pickup for Pry.
Here's another video of him breaking down Counter Read against BC and in the bowl game.

Another one from Davis:

These YouTube from Davis are gold. You have a ton of pressure for the unblocked guy to get to the ball. Great looking play,
I'm not trying to be a smart ass here but...what's the point of publishing these on YouTube? Opponents get to watch these, maybe to deke them? Recruiting (look how smart our analysts are)? Helping with Brent's advancement?
Probably for high school coaches. At one point, in the first one, there was someone reminding Davis that he had 10 minutes left. So I'm guessing this was a zoom meeting for high school coaches, and the recorded it for people who couldn't make it or something
Opponents already have the tape. These aren't state secrets; these are (were?) our bread and butter plays.
Opponents watch the film and know what happened. Most college coaches can break down film.
I would hope that we would have multiple plays in each formation that have similar keys so that seeing one play doesn't give away the play. though you could just go thr stinespring method of everyone knows what's coming but you run it so efficiently they can't stop it.
I would suspect fan engagement is the best reason to do this.
Play on youtube- every opponent 's DC can break this play down in 3 minutes. Tech has to show different sets to throw the opponent off during the game. Or tech will throw a set and run a different play so they aren't predictable. Wrinkles in plays make the players think.
I don't think it's supposed to be published on YouTube. I think, like bar1990 said, a presentation for high school coaches. The YouTube channel that has been posting these uploads tons and tons of clips exactly like this for coaches all over college football. I've really enjoyed watching his stuff over the past few months, but this is the first time he's posted anything from our coaching staff as far as I can tell.
It was wild how for the first minute I was like 'what the fuck is he talking about?' but by the end of the video I was like 'oh I see what the line is doing, and the qb, and who he's reading, that's cool.'
Does the GT stand for Georgia Tech or something else?
Stands for gettin' tds
Thinking Guard-Tackle, the two guys pulling.
