Star Rutgers linebacker out for the year

He was on the Butkus Award watch list. With Drones ability to run between the tackles, this is a big loss.

That obviously bodes well for us but I hate to hear about any injury like that. Hopefully he recovers fully and it doesn't impact his pro career.

This game will set the tone for the season, IMO. Rutgers is a decent, well coached B1G team that will be physical. If we have issues with them at home, we aren't going to compete for the ACC, IMO.

Totally agree. I feel like their rebuild is on a similar plane as ours. This will be an early indication of this team's potential provided they take care of business in the first 3 games.

I think Rutgers will be better than the median ACC team this year. I can see us losing to them and finishing top 6 in the acc.

But that said, if we lose 35-14 again, it's no bueno

Glad we do not have to face him - but sure as heck not glad that it happened this way.

Get well soon and wishing for a full recovery.

Georgia Tech lost a starting Tight End this week as well.

I read the title as one of our STAR linebackers was out for the season

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

Yeah, my thought was we had a LB at STAR, last named Rutgers.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

It might be a Rutgers big loss but I think it will lead to some Virginia Tech big gains!
