Not enough votes to oust him. FSU and Clemson are really angry, but everyone else seems fairly content with status quo. Phillips is absolutely awful, but blame the member institution presidents for their poor vision and not seeing the massive freight train headed right for us. Remember every single school signed this horrific GoR completely free and willingly. Swofford and all the league presidents were so behind and reactionary just thinking getting an ACC Network in some shape or fashion was going to be the answer. Never mind the fact we were 10 years late and Swofford signed a horrible deal.

So I know this is a bit in the edge of Tinfoil Hat zone, but Philips came from NW and I'm beginning to wonder if he was a plant in order to help the P2 crush the ACC.
Like all the B1G ADs and got together and were like "Yeah, Jim, he's ienpt and a total pushover, let's float him to the ACC as a Commissioner option." Furious laughter ensues.
He didn't have an easy job to step into but pretty much every time he opens his mouth he sounds like a clueless stooge.
