OT: X-Men 97 on D+

So, yeah.

Basically, it's fucking phenomenal and I hope you all are watching.

The them song (c'mon son, you already knew this) storyline, voice acting, and animation are TOP. NOTCH. so far anyway. This show is PERFECT for anyone that grew on the classic 90s show. Picks up right where the last season left off.

3 episodes in and we've probably had the best adaptations of Storm and Cyclops that we've likely ever seen, outside of the comics.

Simply put, I cannot wait for the next episode, and however many episodes this season gives us is already not enough. Lol

you should watch the entire original series. Not to understand this better (I haven't seen it yet). Just because.

Warning: this post occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors)..

i recall watching it a lot when i was a kid, but i dont remember story lines or anything. also don't know if i should try to commit to multiple seasons (and how long it would take, especially with the weather getting nice)

I just jumped into it without refreshing with the original series and the writing does a good job of getting you up to speed with the state of the world. Plus, if you're like me, you'll remember a lot more than you think you will once that theme song hits and the characters start interacting.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

So, I really enjoyed the original series (but it doesn't hold up real well if you go back and watch.)

Things move really fast in this, and they have changed the animation just slightly. It almost feels like I am watching a cross of the old X-Men series with the VHS tapes of Voltron when I was a kid. The background also has some of the animation techniques used for the Spiderverse movies which I likes, but doesn't get a "nostalgia" vibe.

The story? It is moving really fast, and assumes you know a ton of background. The Magneto-Rogue tryst angle is... weird.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

That came from the comics.

This is important to understand, there is a comic that is a prelude to the show.
